Hey @Mastoor - what do you think Coric's ceiling is? I believe Novak offers him quite a lot of advice.

I wouldn't know. I think Novak sees him as one of the guys who should be number 1 some day, but that is what he thought of Dimitrov, Raonic, seems practically everyone who is his pal and from Balkans. I think Coric has whole lot to improve before coming to top 10, because I personally don't see anything that extraordinary from him yet.

The other thing is. We should be aware that we were spoiled in last 10 years or so and that in couple of years tennis won't be anything like this what we've been watching. There won't be any Federers, Nadals and Djokovics soon and there will be new standards that we can't predict. People will have to lessen their expectations a lot.

Who knows, maybe Coric becomes a number 1 in several years.

A boy from a neighborhood where I used to live took part in qualifications for uso, Miljan Zekic. He beat Rublyov, but lost to Zverev.

Some interesting "all boy" family. From what I hear one of his brothers is a philharmonic orchestra conductor and the other is an actor, so they may be all famous soon. I know the older generation better, dad and his 3 brothers none of which was a tennis player. They were in football and javelin throwing.

Lucas Pouille will break now into the top 20, following the USO. One year younger than Thiem and one year older than Kyrgios.
So that will make now 3 players in the top 20 aged 23 or younger.

Bllie has mentioned in another thread, but this deserves its place here. A boy from Serbia, Momir Kecmanovic, when interviewed by Ozmo after winning in round 1, was asked "Will we (Serbs) have 2 winners in this slam?" and he replied "I'll give my best to win along with No1e." Next thing you hear about him - he is in the boys final.

Momir said he will play only senior tournaments starting from January.

Hurray! Does that make him the highest ranked ATP teenager since Rafa?
Novak reached the Top 10 with 19 after winning Miami in 2007 and got to something like I think No. 6 before turning 20 at the French Open that year. But after Novak and Andy I don't think any teenager got close to the Top 20 and even one reaching the Top 100 was rather rare during the last 10 years.
