I make no secret of thinking that Kyrgios is a bit of a tool. I'm not sure if he's right that a player of Rafa's stature would have been given a pass for what he did, but there's no question than top players are given a bit more latitude. The simple fact is that no top player would be stupid enough to do the sort of things that he does

I will always smile when I think of Kyrgios slamming Stan. With his most recent comments? Taking shots at the sport which provides his livelihood isn't one of his brighter moments.

I like Kyrgios - he's just become a bit of a pantomime villain of the piece. But... he's definitely his own man and got something about him.

Heh, heh, you Brits. From the highlights they showed during the interview, you'd think he'd given Djoker a real pasting.

I really enjoyed watching Nick play at Miami. The wheels came off for him against Nishikori, but I think it's a positive step overall. He had a good run, stayed focused, and leaves more aware of the areas that need work. It will be fun to see what he will do on the grass courts later this year.

Another one to add onto this list is Tommy Paul. 18 year old American ranked 200, but just enjoyed a nice win over dirtballer Paulo Lorenzi on clay.

Tommy won the the Junior French Open last year beating Taylor Fritz in the final and was also runner up at the Junior USO.

Nice run by Coric at Marrakech. Showed a lot of mental toughness from the matches I watched, but he's a bit predictable and will need to add dimensions to his game and mix his game up a little.

Will be watching Zverev closely in Monte Carlo, but Dominic Thiem might be the one to watch closely here.

Nick is a hot head with a brash unpolished demeanour, but a tool? speak for yourself. No top player would be stupid enough to do the sort of things that he does? I've seen worse from top players, just ask John.

Frances Tiafoe lost today in RG qualifying to Adrian Ungur in 3. Too bad.

Sorry moxie, I am rooting for my fellow Romanians, so I was happy to see this result.

Well, that's fair enough, because I root for Tiafoe particularly because he's from the same area in MD as me. :)

I sort of like the term GenNext better (was that yours, BB?) But I guess it's officially #NextGen. Anyway, they're coming up rather faster than anyone expected.

About time GenNext make noise on the big stages, the fact that the big 4 are so old and still occupy top5 positions is getting silly. under normal circumstance grandpa Fed should walz his way to seniors tour, while uncle Rafa, Novak and Andy should struggle almighty against teenagers :)

The embarrassment is that they are about to leave the likes of Dimitrov, Nishikori, Raonic, et al, of the "Lost Generation" as the eternal wallflowers at the dance.

I am not sure who you guys are talking about that are coming up fast, because the pace of the few remarkable in the next generation, aside Zverev, is anything but fast.
I would not include Thiem in the next generation, because he is 22 and had been around for several years by now.
He is developing at a fair pace to be a top player, nothing out of ordinary.
The next generation is 21 and under, and the best they have done at RG is R3.
They still have some gap to fill to be true challengers.
