In fairness, I'll backtrack a bit too, he looks quite a big bigger than he used to... growing lad!
That's my point...he's been growing like my unwieldy Florida aloe plant. Hard to keep track. And it's hard to keep up with all of the guys we're tracking on this thread, they've been doing so well. But what news on Kokkinakkis? And what's up with Kyrgios' illness and back issues?

Kokkinakiss is recovering from a shoulder injury.

Nick? Probably lying low after the on-court antics.

I thought I read Kokkinakis had surgery. He seems to have been away for quite a while.

Zverev had the most impressive Indian Wells among the new gunners. Almost took Nadal out and firmly put himself on the map.

For those who don't know Alexander Zverev (nickname Sascha) - get to know him fast. You're going to see a lot more of him. This kid is going to the top.

His brother was an ATP pro and he's been hitting with him since he was out of nappies.

This vid has a Del Potro title, but goes on to show some of the young guns in their early Indian Wells encounters.

His brother, Misha Zverev IS an ATP pro, still active. He is a lot older, 28 and he was never as good. He plays actively mainly on the challenger tour.
This week, Misha Zverev plays in the Miami master, as well, he is in the qualification draw.

Thanks herios, I didn't know Misha was still active... not a bad hitting partner for a kid though!

You are welcome. Misha is now ranked 170, he was as high as #45, 6 years ago.

I think their father, also called Alexander Zverev once played for Soviet Union. If I remember correctly he played in their DC team with Andrei Chesnokov. I don't know why he emigrated to Germany.

Berdych and Nadal tab Zverev as a potential future #1

Calling Zverev a "possible future No. 1," Nadal said, "He's an amazing player. He has all the shots. Very good physical performance. Tall, good serve, first and second; great shots from the baseline, forehand and backhand. @Tennisfan

"He has everything to become [a] big star, and he's playing well.”

Any of these rising young stars serve and volley or at least aim for shorter points ? That's what the game needs today. More artistry and less grind fests.

I'd say Raonic, who is a little older than these guys but still on the upward trajectory is probably the closest to what you are seeking stylistically.

I make no secret of thinking that Kyrgios is a bit of a tool. I'm not sure if he's right that a player of Rafa's stature would have been given a pass for what he did, but there's no question than top players are given a bit more latitude. The simple fact is that no top player would be stupid enough to do the sort of things that he does
