^ You seriously aren't aware of Nadal's school in India for dalits (untouchables)?

The more Nadal earns, the better off that school is (whether all his earnings go to it, or just a fraction) :clap

Whereas what does prioritizing the AO do for the dalits?

I looked it up, it's a noble cause.

What does prioritising the AO do for the Dalits? Well, from what I been told, "the more Nadal earns, the better off the school is."

I'm not a fan of tennis players so I can cheer their charities. That's between them and their conscience. I wish he would withdraw from this blinking Indian junket and rest properly before preparing properly for the proper tennis...

Easy for them to say they're giving all that money to charity. In reality I very much doubt they are. Maybe 10% at most. They're greedy b******s. For the record I wouldn't give it all to charity either because most charities out there these days are a disgrace and the money goes to simply paying the CEO's 6 figure salary and the wages of the staff. A mere 10% of most donated charities out there go to the actual charity.

This week's career high:

51. Nick Kyrgios 19y
61. Jan-Lennard Struff 24y

We've gone far enough off topic now. Pls. remember that we do try to keep this thread for the "Rankings" discussions. (The hint is in the subject line.) AND that the idea was to discuss players OTHER than the top ones. We've got plenty of places to debate upcoming exhibitions/league play and the impact on players' charities. Or feel free to start a new thread.

Cuevas...38, but career high 36 a few weeks back. (Uruguay, 28 yrs. old.)

But speaking of Kyrgios, (is it true that "g" is silent?) is he the first teenager to get that high in a while?

Yeah, I think it is pronounced "Keer-ee-ose." As in "Cheerios," but with a "K" instead of "Ch" and a soft s at the end.

And yeah, I think he's the first teenager since Tomic to reach the top 50, but am not absolutely certain. Tomic reached as high as #27 before he turned 20, but has fallen since.

Before Tomic...who knows? Murray, Djokovic, and Nadal of course. But between them and now, there are relatively few. Just looking at some of the top 20ish players these days, and age they were at when they first entered the top 50:

Cilic: 19 yrs, 4 mos (Jan, 2008)
Nishikori: 21 yrs, 4 mos (Apr, 2011)
Del Potro: 18 yrs, 11 mos (Sept, 2007)
Dimitrov: 21 yrs, 6 mos (Nov, 2012)
Thiem: 20 yrs, 10 mos (July, 2014)

I might have missed other folks, but those are some of the younger recent players to reach the top 50. As far as I can tell, as far as teenagers in the top 50, before Tomic it was probably Cilic, and then Del Potro. Before them, Murray and Djokovic?

Technically Kyrgios isn't quite in the top 50 - he's #51 - but hopefully he'll get there soon, certainly before his 20th birthday in April of 2015.

Among the younger ones not mentioned, Raonic reached the top 50 at 20y and 2 months.

I have to, because you and other seems to "ignore" his relevance on purpose;)

And so far, he has been ranked higher in his career than both Nishikori and Dimitrov, therefore, if you talk about those two, I see no reason to forget Milos of the equation.

Viktor Troicki won the Banja Luka challenger and has flown up the live rankings now from 208 to 170. Really making progress now.

This allowed him to have an entry into the qualifications of the new event Shenzen. I spotted him there in the draw. We might see him back in action in an ATP event next week therefore.

So Vic'll improve his ranking fast, hope he'll stay away for nasty habits now

Me too, I only give money to very specific charities in which I am familiar with the inner workings of
Most people donate blindly to charities, because they're really just doing it for their conscience (or even worse, to brag).
Whereas Nadal certainly has a huge connection to his own charity, so I'm sure he can trust his own money is being used properly (as his family is taking a hands-on approach)

Milos definitely deserves credit for being more professional than Nishikori and Dimitrov.
I like his low-key approach, and quiet off-court life :clap
And even though Milos can be described as "one-dimensional" at least he has a weapon (Dimitrov has an all-round game, but where's the big shot?).

He's competing in Shenzhen qualifying as third seed. He is in the final round of qualis tomorrow against Japanese Toshihide Matsui. If he gets through that, all four qualifiers go into Ferrer's section of the draw:

Ferrer (1) - Bye
Quali - Quali
Gerasimov (WC) - Quali
Quali - Giraldo (6)
