Getting back to the Beatles now
Found this video of their famous Rooftop concert. It's a very good edit by whoever uploaded this with matching mono audio synched with the film from 'Let it Be' . Beats me why the movie has not yet been re-released on dvd or blu-ray formats.

A new mix of the complete August 30, 1965 Hollywood Bowl Concert. Parts of the concert was compiled and mastered by George Martin along with a 1964 concert from the same arena , but it never sounded as good as this -

Hey britbox, no haven't touched either of the Beatles concerts. They don't need it. Am going to download 'em. These are significantly improved from the Hollywood Bowl compilation that George Martin remastered in 1977. Back then Martin opted to make a composite album from both concerts.

Interesting video of John Lennon in the hit factory recording session talking to the record producer, Jack Douglas one day after turning 40 (October 10 1980). Guess this was the time they were mixing his and his wife's final album, 'Double Fantasy'.

I've heard that, and it seems very crabby and parochial. Personally, I like that they looked to a broader definition of literature. The earliest literature was spoken or sung, not written into novels.
