I like that song, T! Doesn't sound like one that's almost 50 years old...

I'm glad you liked it. Here's their entire first album:

Some other early, interesting Floyd:

"Atom Heart Mother" (title track from their 1970 album):

"Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" (also from the album Atom Heart Mother)

Oh wow if you hadn't had posted that I wouldn't have believed it! I like the RHCPs, but not doing "Brandy" :nono

I'm posting songs that I used to love, but had forgotten about. While wondering how I could have forgotten songs that I loved?

The spelling isn't right and Camila certainly doesn't have to change or rearrange herself, but every time Camila plays this song always comes into my mind!

I'm afraid it's a rather depressing tale of how I heard this song. I was at a funeral 2 weeks ago and the title of the song was listed as part of the service - C'est la Mort. I found myself in tears during the service. Not just because I knew the lady that passed away but because I thought the song was beautiful - despite the title. I used to work with the woman and she had been ill for some time. I got a text from an ex-colleague last week to say that the husband died in a car crash 3 days after he buried his wife. Both of them were in their early thirties. The song seems ever more poignant now.

I gotta say that I was soooooo surprised to see on my ATT U-Verse system a concert from earlier this year (it was on AXS TV channel) of one of the groups whose music I dove into for years as an adolescent--Led Zeppelin. I had not heard some of the songs they played in this two hour concert in over thirty years. Man was it great. They played Ramble On; Good Times, Bad Times; As I Lay Dying; Trampled Under Foot and a host of others that I used to play while falling asleep in our old house in the Seventies. Simply fabulous and now I can see more clearly how grounded in the Blues these guys were--along with Tolkien.

QUICK EDIT: I just learned the concert was Celebration Day from 2008 (if memory serves). Regardless, I never saw it until yesterday on my DVR. Fabulous to hear those tunes again.

Hi there

Just discovered this forum - nice. My music taste is a little different these days as I spent a whole Saturday night last year in February looking for X-factor in other countries than Denmark as it was CRAP last year and fell over this to me amazing group who won the English X-factor back in 2011. They are now 2 albums up and preparing to go on their first headlining tour - starting in the next week-end in UK and Ireland and ending up i North America in September October. They are the hottest girl band right now with a massive world wide fanbase called Mixers. Here are two videos starting with the name for the tour - Salute - and following with a ballad from X-mas in 2013 - Little me. Hope you like them because they CAN sing :)

Hi hoergren,

Glad you found this section. It used to be buried in the Off-Topic section, so glad the new changes to the board structure have helped you find a few other areas of the site.

Little Mix aren't personally my cup of tea, but they do have talent.

Cheers, BB

When I'm not listening to Little Mix I have a few favorites from the past i undust ;) - like this unknown to most rock band - Flamin Groovies - they played a hell lot of good tunes but never succeded as a wellknown act - pity because they are good¨- here is their biggest hit: Heading for the texan border

let's take another one - sorry not many live acts but here is one from 1972 - Little queenie

and another from their album Teenage Head: High flyin baby

And why not celebrate my 600th post with a reminder to myself. This was the worst black out in my life becuse of this concert + a lot of beer and buse, and I was just at my neighbour. These Fabulous Thunderbirds with My Babe - it's one of the best tracks with beer and whisky - but beware:

and one more from the same concert in London - Tough enough:
