in honor of Rafa's 28th birthday I am going to fire up a special thread here at tennis frontier in a few days. stay tuned.

it will contain the special images that I have created just for his birthday.

this is for all the Rafa fans at tennis frontier and at Camelot.

somebody remind me at Camelot if I manage to forget but more than likely I wont.

I have been pretty busy as of late.

It's getting a bit late for the birthday, but you wouldn't be wrong to do one for the 9th RG. Anyway, good to see you around, CD. Don't be a stranger.

where is the great Baron of United Kingdom and Australia?

I just wanted to commend him on his class. he is in a league of his own.

I am proud to call him a friend. he is among the finest persons I have known in the tennis circles.

been quite busy lately sports fans. I have not forgotten about Rafa's birthday thread. I will fire one up with the images that I have created.

and then general tented or baron can move it to the right place.

birthday threads are and can be timeless. it is a great way to honor the great champions of our sport.

roger's birthday is also coming up.

I plan to celebrate Rafa's birthday all year long.

Hi, CD. Nice seeing you here. How is Camelot Elite Tennis Society these days? I admit I've been negligent, and should visit more.

Are you enjoying Wimbledon? I think Rafa is looking good -- meaning he beat Rosol, which was a relief. Dangerous opponent.

que pasa general tented.

long time no see mate. I have been quite busy as of late but I am trying to catch the tennis from Wimbledon.

Rafa is doing better. he has to try to improve with each match.

return of serve and confidence in backhand is key in order for him to have his best chances.

he did make significant progress in his return of serve after the first set against kuku. that is a step in the right direction.

now he has to show that he has confidence in his backhand off the ground too as in rallies.

rest will take care of itself.

his serve seems to be improving slightly as well.

I am going to go ahead and fire up a permanent birthday thread for Rafa. his fans all over the world will like it and enjoy it.

I will start today and then slowly add more images that I have created.

go ahead and move it where it needs to be moved.

my own sense is that such a thread will be popular. people can add his childhood pictures and generally make it a fun thread for people to visit and enjoy. perhaps even articles about what Rafa was like as a kid and the like.

we coud do that for Roger, Andy, and Nole as well. these will be permanent birthday threads.

Arnie is looking in awesome shape for Terminator 5. Shoulders and arms look absolutely enormous. He looks as big as ever. The beauty of modern science but all the same, a lot of work needs to be put in to look this good either way. Respect Arnie. HGH Stallone style is my guess. Those veins are almost ready to burst!

See the following excerpt from the book "Lila: An Enquiry into Morals" by
Robert M. Pirsig.

http://books.google.com/books?id=WZtRAQAAQBAJ&lpg=PA377&ots=q7OVZWVxep&dq=insanity%20is%20not%20a%20biological%20pattern%20psychiatrists%20are%20not%20allowed%20to%20practice&pg=PA377#v=onepage&q&f=true

Start from the paragraph that begins with "Years after.........." in page 377 and continue
as far as you have interest and patience. Will be little heavy though.

Paul Kimmage on his 25-year anti-doping crusade, Lance Armstrong and his disillusion with the Tour. He also had this to say below about doping in tennis.

“Possibly, and this may sound ridiculous, cycling is one of the cleanest sports left because the controls are full on. But f***ing tennis, I find it nauseating to watch it on TV to see the McEnroes and all the commentators engage in this big love-in. And the bottom line is we are all getting rich here folks, lets not upset the apple-cart.”

^Interesting. I'm pretty familiar with Kimmage and David Walsh. Neither would make a comment like that without some inside info. Both flew in the face of tremendous flak helping bring Armstrong to task.
