Excellent clock, Clay! :clap

I've been thinking a bit about Oz, getting anxious a little, starting my preparations for full-scale hysteria attacks. I've been practising Hoovering the carpet while humming loudly to myself and then throwing begging glances at the television, before falling on my back and yelling VAMOS!

I been practicing it all, but I'm afraid of peaking too soon! :p

But yeah, I have been thinking about Oz!

One for Andy Murray fans.

10/10 for effort... Not sure about grades for musical talent :)

Baron did you get a chance to see the Italian dragon a few times in the ring?

general swordtennis was asking about Joe. I told him that you would be able to answer that best.

also what is your take on sonny liston and max baer?

who had the nickname of "hands of stone"? I saw him in New Orleans once at a sporting goods store.

now about joe:
fighting in front of 50,000 fans had to be an amazing achievement alone.

Italian Dragon must have owned the planet in his day.

Roberto Duran was the hands of stone, arguably the greatest lightweight of all time and all round legend.

Yeah, saw Calzaghe fight live a few times - one being the Kessler fight you mention at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff in front of 50,000 people.

Hey Britbox,

Historically, how good was Joe? You rate him highly?

Anybody here tempted by Mike Tyson's autobiography? Getting some great reviews, sounds like a tough life and a sordid tale...

Yeah, I rate Joe highly - he had a solution for every style he came across - bangers, counterpunchers, boxers, brawlers. He was clever, had a decent chin, great handspeed and phenomenal work rate... and nobody ever beat him.

Yeah, that's quite a pristine sales pitch: Nobody Ever Beat Me. I don't think there's many fellers with that level of completeness in that game. He got out before he was caught, but he stayed long enough to see off all-comers...
