Hello Juanito!
What did San Lorenzo do? I'm not really following the Argie league anymore but is River Plate back in business again?
I recall the times when SL had Saja, Botinelli, Romeo, Lavezzi, Chilavert and my favourite Romagnoli!
Well, he only coached a couple of matches but I have seen the Santos one and that one was equal to the 4-0 win against AC Milan last year. Wonderful pression, position swapping, passing and attacking moves. I know he is a attack minded coach so hopefully he can bring something extra again. Despite having won La Liga comfortably I wasn't impressed by Tito's tactical strength and Jordi Roura has the charm of a potatoe so I'm happy with Martino although I preferred Luis Enrique, Laudrup or F de Boer.
River is """back""", yes. I mean, they won the 2nd division championship and now they want to win big things, they finished in the 3rd place.
But... They aren't playing exactly good. IMO they aren't going to win someting big this semester, but they're still River and everyone should respect them.
San Lorenzo had 3 bad years between 2009 and 2012, we almost lost the divison playing the playoffs and winning.
But since there, we started in a really good way. We're back in the business with a great team.
We have a new president with his new directive comision (dunno how to call it in english, you know what I meant), and they are doing a great job. (20.000 new associates in less than a year, we finished in the top 5 of the league and we bought a good team).
Romagnoli is still playing really good and that's always a pleasure.
Today we defeated Gimnasia CDU 2-0. Despite beeing a 3rd division team, they put on a good fight, but now we're in SF of the Argentinian cup and things are looking really good.
The season started 3-0-0, so... I think we can try to reach big goals.
Martino had an amazing season here (seriously, amazing), he won the tournament with Newell's and, despite they had a good team, it wasn't that amazing.
They played really good football against superior teams, and they had bad luck on the Libertadores Cup.
I hope he can do well there
