I'm sure he made BOTH his mum and dad proud. His mum didn't need to be thanked in public. BTW she wasn't sitting in his box. She was sitting with people from the LTA. Andy probably couldn't have told you his own name in that moment. I think he can be forgiven for his momentary lapse.

Yeah, the media often overlook his Dad's contribution. Fortunately Andy makes a point of recognizing it. When his parents split up, Judy was the one who left home and went on to pursue a full time tennis coaching career and his Dad was the one raising him and his brother at home.

surely one would think that andy`s achievements have brought the whole family together to some extent.

judy was glowing indeed. I was most happy for andy`s mom after that historic Wimbledon win.

Did you all watch the ATP ranking celebration show on Friday night. How come
nobody is discussing it anywhere. There were 19 #1's on the stage at the same time.
Magnificient show.

I wonder why Pete and Andre did not show up despite living in USA.

Four others including Becker did not show up.
