I saw the score of the first set and thought it was over.
is serena injured?
Emma said:Clay Death said:it is slow here lady emma. it will take at least a year to get something going here.
locals don't really care much about us or the castle so it will take a while here.
that was betty`s complaint. she said she felt totally and completely ignored here. nikki is gone too.
here is the way I look at it: if people are willing to come into your place and chill with you a little bit, then it is our responsibility to welcome them, meet them, and greet them.
a simple post to say hello to somebody takes less than 2 seconds.
people hardly ever go back to places where nobody bothers to speak to them. and why the hell should they.
now baron britbox and I are trying to set a bit of an example here so we will see if others follow.
everybody simply must be interested in growing the whole forum otherwise it is not going to happen.
we have around 172 members. now that is not too shabby considering how young this forum is but clearly if we are to embark on sustained growth then every single has person has to buy into baron`s vision.
and every single person has to do their part. that is how you make it interesting and that is how you make it grow.
Well, to be fair to this forum, the locals at T4U didn't care for the Castle as much either especially if you take the likes of Babbs, Alex, Monster into account.
And as you've mentioned already, it's an equal responsibility for both - one cannot simply just sit there and complain. When I come here I don't look for people but rather I post my own stuff and that keeps this part active. I am not looking for someone to keep me company or welcome me. I am fine either way. If you want this forum to grow or stay very active, you must take the initiative as well.
But this forum could be a bit more user friendly IMO. For instance, I don't like the 'thank you' feature that seems to pop up every time you review your post or quote someone else's post. It slows things down for me. Otherwise everything else is fine and should be fine.
Unfortunately for me though, I am a bit too busy at work at the moment so can't afford to be here all the time. I have a vacation coming up but it seems I may have to work from home too, or else I may have to work long hours at work in the coming weeks. Oh well but such is life.

Hey General,
Yeah I saw it Serena came out strong and firing cause she knew she had an ab injury and wanted to end it quick. But, Vika is no slouch and she picked up her game. Serena couldn't maintain her form and her serve left the building, errors increased. DAMN. Serving for the match at 5-4 in the third, I knew Queen Serena had it handled. I just knew it, so I went in the kitchen to prepare dinner. In less than two minutes the shytt was all tied up again. OMG, I was too thru. And I won't even mention her serving for the match up 5-3 in the tiebreaker.
Serena needs to heal up and fix that serve (damn clay courts)!!

he has turned the tennis world upside down in a matter of 2 weeks.
and I would venture to say that he is not even playing all that well.
roger had 44 unforced errors and was still in the hunt against him in cincy. dynamitrov took a set from him.
nadal can return better, play smarter, and focus better. he could put it all together at flushing meadows. that is what it will take in new York.
best of 5 sets environment favors him on the average.

The only people losing their sleep should be the Nole fans (lol). I don't see why Murray fans should worry about anything. I guess they want the ranking too but then again, Andy has already confirmed he's not going to contest for the top ranking. So he's unlikely to give his best effort in these Masters even if he has a clear shot at it. So these tournaments are mostly up for grab for players like Nole, Nadal, Del Potro, Isner, Tsogna etc. but unfortunately, both Delpo and Isner are running into in form players on their way to final and Tsonga is out with injuries at the moment. Berdych is not known as consistent and Federer is sliding down as he's losing to players he's never lost before. Yes, I know he had 44 unforced errors but that's only because he can't hit shots as consistently as he used to hit before due to his slowness. It is now really a hit or miss game he's playing.
But we mustn't forget the fact that Nadal had 7 months long time off and another 5 weeks long time off just after Wimbledon, so that helps.

He must have his online status set to hidden. Hunting is very popular with the ladies and we've had to up his PM inbox by 10,000 for fan mail alone. I believe he was getting so swamped by PMs he turned his online visibility to off until he could hire a secretary to deal with the situation.

sid said:Hi folks,i've been away that's why i've not posted, but Hurc knew this.I hope your all well & enjoying the tennis,i saw some while i was away, but not enough.
Clay Death said:they have been looking at various engineering plans. looks like they found a way to get it done with lot less money than originally thought or imagined.
so just 3 more years and we will have a retractable roof at flushing meadows.
