Hi Emma!

No fence sitting for Nadal/Federer.

Hi Britbox! I am mentally quite exhausted after a 3 day training/course ending just today at 4pm but I am otherwise feeling good and really looking forward to the weekend.

Federer is relatively fresh and I think at this stage of his career, it's very important for him to stay fit to compete against the big guys and Nadal is literally his worst enemy. I am however expecting a very competitive match.

I am in a round about way very happy that Andy avoided playing Nadal at this point and I like Berdych quite a lot and even though he leads the H2H, it doesn't bother me, because I believe on the big stage Andy will take it.

It's Saturday morning here down under (but I won't tell you the result of Fridays match in Cincy)...

The sun is shining, Mrs Britbox has taken the kids to tennis for a change and Mr Britbox has bacon sandwiches nearly ready, a bit of peace and ESPN on for Rafa/Roger. Bliss.

Isner should be really done after this so I see Delpo advancing to the final.

Well, enjoy your day, dear britbox while it lasts. :p I am here on my couch having dinner and drinking wine (cheap wine herc would tell you) so it's not too bad on this side of the world either!

To be honest, I am a little tired watching Nadal at this point because he's been basically playing all the evening matches so far at Cincy. Though I admit, yesterday's match against your baby Fed was quite good minus 3rd set, but I would have personally preferred to watch Isner vs Nole since it was quite a competitive.

Can Delpo do it? I believe it depends on a couple of things: one, he needs to beat Isner without much effort. Second, this Nadal/Federer match needs to go distance. But even so, I believe he has the heart to do so but he really needs to beat Isner fairly easily, so that he can be ready for the final. We all know he has the game to beat either Nadal or Federer on hard surface.

2 straight 2nd serve forehand return hit out. pathetic.

how can you win if you cant even do anything with the 2nd serve?

unless the return improves quickly, its flushing meadows time for nadal.

nadal finally got a few balls back on roger`s serve and it changed the dynamic of that set instantly.

nadal improved his return of serve and changed his stars instantly in this match.

he started to focus a little better on the return.

it is still only one break so this is not over yet.

one poor service game from nadal and roger will be right back in the hunt.
