Hope it's not off topic to turn your attention to a couple of twins who is producing some very good covers - well here is Imagine and I'll follow the sun -The MonaLisa Twins

And here live version of You're going toloose that girl - from the Cavern club

I'm very sorry to disappoint you but I don't think they're even 1/2 as good as the Beatles. I admit they can sing well & play the guitar & I do like them but don't think they're as good as you're making them out to be.

If we're allowed to post Beatle-related but not totally Beatles songs here I'll share a few of my favourites here followed by my favourite Beatles song.

Allow me to disagree with you too. Why I like them is because they makr the tunes their own instead of trying to copy the Beatles. That's my humble opinion. I wont bring more with them in this thread - just thought it was interesting for you to see that Beatles exist today in this generation.

Of course. It's good that they make the tunes their own but if people are singing other people's songs I like them to sound more-or-less the same as them & think the people that sound the closest to the original singers are best. I think that if people want to sound different to the original singers they should either pick songs that are that old no one has ever heard the original singers, those that have just been written by poets or are trad. & have been passed from generation to generation or they should write their own but that's just my humble opinion. Like I said, I think they're very good. They just don't sound like the Beatles like the Carpenters didn't sound like the Beatles when they sung Yesterday & Ticket to ride. Please feel free to share more if you wish. It was interesting to see modern people singing Beatles songs.

Love Me Do - The History of the Original 45 Version

The UK 1962 red label 1st pressing of 'Love Me Do' is one of their best sounding UK 45s. In this video I find out about how and why the original version went missing and which pressing from the last 40 years sounds closest to the original. Stick around for the the 'Coming Next...' teaser at the end!

That's great. I only really traipse youtube to help me with the words & timing of songs I'm going to sing on 1920's/1940's Days at work & to listen to good songs I no longer have on record, cassette or C.D. & to share my favourite songs with people. I agree, it is a pleasure to watch videos like the 1 you shared.

I can’t wait. I still have the original film on VHS from the early 80s, and have been waiting decades for McCartney to green light its rerelease.

I noticed a few things:
- There’s a lot of footage from Abbey Road Studios which we never saw before (it was all from Twickenham Studios, I believe)
- John tapping the guitar strings at the beginning of “Get Back”
- George Martin - I don’t remember him being in the original film since it was all Twickenham, not Abbey Road
- Less Yoko, more Beatles

Yes the first part of the movie was set in Twickenham studio.

To my knowledge there has been nothing more on this film in 50 years, other than a crappy VHS tape which was dark images and badly put together.

Have you posted that as a Xmas pressie for me knowing that "Let it be" is my favourite Beatles song? If so, thank you very much.

I'm going to be very busy the next few days but will watch when I get the chance. Today it's baking, listening to Xmas songs & Carol-singing. Merry Xmas!

The Beatles (yeah...yeah...yeah!) AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING waxed on april 26 1966. Wonderful work here.
The uploader has done a first class job of removing the Beatles double tracked vocals , which was ruined by their laughing. This surfaced on ANTHOLOGY 2 compilation in 1997, from memory.

Anthology version...

Now the original master:

I love Revolver — easily one of my favorites of theirs.
