If Simona is found guilty, they should take away her 2019 Wimbledon Championship and give it to Serena Williams.
Well don’t forget that she also beat six other players to win that tournament. I certainly think that drug cheats should have their titles removed, and any prize money. That should all be accepted before they take part…

Not good news for Simona Halep I am afraid,
The ITIA confirms that Romanian tennis player Simona Halep has been charged with a further and separate breach of the Tennis Anti Doping programme, relating to irregularities in her Athlete Biological Passport. The additional charge of an Adverse Passport Finding was based on assessment of Ms Haleps ABP profile by an independent ABP expert panel. The charge is separate and in addition to the existing Roxadustat charge from August in 2022, which triggered her original provisional

Looks like it's baby making time for Simona

Girl, these things don’t just happen. What motivating factors would the powers that be have against Halep to make these charges up? A second charge is telling that she just isn’t being honest somewhere in this.
LOL. I'm glad somebody said it. If she's found guilty and suspended, depending on her sentence, she should come back and play, but not be given any WC. She needs to play qualies and challengers to get her ranking up.

That's sweet that she has Patrick's and Cahill's unwavering support. It still doesn't change the results that were found or magically produce evidence to the contrary.

I would kind of be of the feeling that if somebody fails a dope test and it's conclusively proven, then they should automatically face a life ban. That would be the ultimate deterrent - but also I'd make them liable to pay back every penny of prize money they received during the period it's known that they were cheating. Titles being removed would be automatic. If players knew all this in advance, then they might think twoce about what they think they might ge away with.

I think coaches aren't necessarily in a position to know whether their player is doping, but it's good of them to endorse her. Their reputations aren't any way affected by what she's accused of having done, but she is to be considered innocent until the charges are proven and they may yet be proven right...

While I do believe they take away any results and points that fall under the inspection window, they won't go back and grant that title and those points to her opponent. Meaning if they determine her guilty from June 2022, every result and point won during that time would be tainted and removed. So in 2019 Serena just blew it and she'll have to live w/ that result for all eternity.

Well, that's why I said depending on what her sentence would be. Who have they given a lifetime ban to? That bloke Nads played for his first RG title right? Who else? The most recent infractions I can remember were given a suspension and not a lifetime ban (Cilic, Pova, Haddad Maia, Ritchie, Lepchenko, etc). You're right, it would be a good deterrent, but I don't believe they're required to pay those winnings back.

And I don't doubt the coaches are aware of what she is doing behind closed doors. It's not like they live together and watch her 24/7

I know. It shouldn't have happened then, but some tourneys were completely clueless. I remember a handful that wouldn't give her a WC (like RG), but most did.

Haddad Maia is treated like she didn't dope at all.I think Halep did take something especially when she played in Toronto, she had been on the decline then all of sudden she is playing great without tiring. That title must be revoked..

You know the powers that be don’t go after the Halep’s of tennis. If they are going to “take someone down” so to speak, they are going after a bigger name like Serena Williams over Halep. Having said that, they aren’t going to fake things because paper trails and whistleblowers exist. In an age where people are super critical about testing and clean sports not only in regard to athletes but governing organizations, it has no logic going after someone if the results don’t warrant it.
