This athlete claimed Meldonium had not cleared out of her system 5 months after she last took it, and WADA has exonerated her, apparently believing her, or giving her benefit of doubt. If only Maria could tell such...but the poor girl is stuck with what she said at the press conference.

She damn arrongant and felt that she could not be touched and probably thought "no way would they call me out on doping." That she had a high level in the urine indicates very recent use, so she did not stop taking it after 1st January, which she would have done if she had known it to be banned, and the level would be lower but not under 1, which indicates stopping taking the drug more than a month before the test.

That is a lot of assumptions. May be she thought she would not be chosen for testing at AO.
May be she thought she could get away due to her Diva status. May be she just took a calculated risk and it backfired.
