Really? I didn't watch it, just surprised to hear that. I thought Kyrgios v Federer was pretty good in the spring

This is completely in another league. Gasquet was doing quite well from the baseline -- actually attacking and defending well. There were a handful of fantastic 20+ shots rallies with both guys going for it. An awful lot of insane winners from both sides. Even the UFE's were mostly fun -- not stupid mistakes but near misses trying to go for beautiful winners.

I haven’t watched Nadal-Dimitrov match which I will see later the replay but what I’ve read was an excellent match like both always do, Dimi playing his best but unfortunately for him Rafa is in action and dificult to beat him
I wlouldn’t have minded if Rafa would have left early but looking the way he is playing I hope he can reach the final and finishing with a good Asian tour

Also I’ve read Roger has played very irregular but I suppose that Gasquet even worse. Also I’ve read that Delpo after his fall yesterday has pain in his wrist so maybe tomorrow he won’t be able to play so Roger will pass to the final without too much effort.
Meanwhile Rafa will play against Cilic, tough match too

It would be completely absurd if Delpo would play tomorrow. I’d like to know what pact Federer has made with the demon.......:devilfinger:

If the Delpo match does not happen, Roger has to find someone good and have a serious training/match session with him. Maybe Dimitrov is still in town? He is not ready to meet Rafa yet. His forehand still is not dialed in.

That's the thing. All the talk of Roger being lucky to possibly get a walkover to the final is silly because I'm quite sure he'd prefer to have more decent match play than free points.

The fall wasn't too serious it seems. What a relief. Potro should rest. Fed would benefit from practicing with a lefty.

Sorry to hear the bad news of DelPo. He deserves a break. May be sometime next year he should be allowed to win a GS without facing a top 100 player.

See, this is the kind of annoying dumb Nadal fan post that is totally unnecessary. Who said I was even watching? It gives other Nadal fans a bad name.

Nadal's slider out wide is the best he's ever hit it. Even when he served great in the past, he never quite mastered that serve. I'm really impressed with that aspect, as well as his all-around serving. The backhand has been lethal too. The forehand on the other hand, looks somewhat pedestrian, as it often has on this Shanghai surface. He'll need to hit it with much more aggression no matter who he faces in the final.
