#2 seed Andy Murray, OBE, has a clear path in the draw now. #7 Youzhny gone. #5 Tsonga gone, #4 Gasquet gone.
No more seeds left to face. It's really on his racquet now.

He still looks a little rusty at times, which is to be expected given his lack of match play, especially against the top players, since last September.

He can't afford more lulls as he moves on. These are best out of 3 set matches. One can be booted out by a hot player in a twinkling of an eye if one can't maintain consistency. Marin Cilic is next for him.

Home favorite Igor Sijsling is serving and playing well, can he get past Kohli to make it to the SF?

----

The remaining top half QF's are loaded with tough big hitters. #1 Del Potro vs Gulbis, #3 Berdych vs. Janowicz,

Berdych vs. Murray in the final? I'm still concerned that Del Potro's left wrist might not be in top shape after his recent trip to New York to go get diagnosis and treatment.

Good luck and best of health to the remaining players at Rotterdam.

Respectfully,
masterclass

From tennis.com. Quite humourous and he has a point that it is different rules for different people. Tops guys have only ever been given a warning or lost a first serve and never a point penalty as far as I recall for taking too long.

Haven't been watching but hope he wins. About time he started to string together more than 1 good win. Must watch from now.

What a sweet last point by Gulbis. Drop shot and lob combo to get a break for 2-1.

Gulbis is making a monkey out of Del Potro with his drop shots and lobs.

Ridiculous late challenge from Del Potro. Shouldn't be allowed challenge that late.

After a melodrama, Ernie serves out the match 6-3 6-4. The defending champ is out. Bye bye DP.

Great performance by Gulbis and really impressive the way he calmed himself down with that first break point he faced in the last game.

Ernie has yet to fulfil his potential. Perhaps he is starting this year finding it.

Andy drops the opener to Marin 6-3. Cilic continuing his good form. Muzza will need to step it up.

Finally the second tier players show their guts. This is how it is supposed to be. Upset galore!
