He's the most winningest if you count that Mickey Mouse Beijing tournament
What about it?
That was probably the best point of the match. Don't get pissy because Fed was ousted.
Roger just GOT BEAT! He might have beaten someone a bit more fragile mentally! He tried to exert his will, but came up short!
Well it's difficult to call a 500 a mickey mouse.
Of course he played well but he shows up against Federer and frankly this is not an upset. You must be able to protect your serve on this court. Djokovic should win the final comfortably even though the court favors Coric's game.Borna was magnificent. He is a different player this year.

It is not an upset, when you analyze how they played today, but otherwise it is a clear upset. You cannot compare their resume, and based on rankings, Borna was also the underdog.Of course he played well but he shows up against Federer and frankly this is not an upset. lol you're too much sometimes. Roger wouldn't have beaten anyone today. .
I don't understand why this is being treated as a big upset. Roger was wary of playing Borna and admitted as much before the match. If Borna wins the final, now that would be an upset.

Resumes don’t play tennis, well said. So many times people say players give it to Roger when they hear his name, yeah right.Borna didn't choke. Roger was hoping he would. Resumes don't play tennis. Otherwise Sampras would have trashed Borna today.

Defeating Roger in master SF, by a guy who had never been in a Master final before? What the hell is an upset in your opinion ?Borna didn't choke. Roger was hoping he would. Resumes don't play tennis. Otherwise Sampras would have trashed Borna today.

His movement and anticipation are also very good. If you can get a lot of balls back and attack the short ones like he did today, you can trouble a lot of players.Borna has improved this year significantly. Talented he was, but his inconsistency made him a journeyman. Not anymore. Think where he started this year. Ranked 48.
Not just he is now ranked in the top 20, but be just made his first master final today and that will bring him closer to the top 10.
Technically, he did two things:
1. He tidied up his service game. He does not serve bombs, but he places them very well.
2. He learned how to move forward on short points.
His movement was always good. I just mentioned where I see improvements in his game this year. His movement and anticipation are also very good. If you can get a lot of balls back and attack the short ones like he did today, you can trouble a lot of players.
