I assume since today is October 31 that this is the final week in the Race to the ATP Finals, and we'll have a field set once the Paris Masters (and the rest of this week's tournaments) are over.

Alex de Minaur d Jack Draper coming back from a set down 57 62 63, Jack making too many UFE in set 2 and 3.
Alex is now 8th in the Race to the Finals with this win, Rublev is now 9th.

Can someone find Carlos Alcaraz and send him to CC? Humbert leading 4-0 1st set
EDIT make that 5-0 1st set
Humbert being ' super aggressive' lets see if he can keep it up
Humbert 1st set 61

Well little is set in stone these days! We can always depend on someone taking a pass on the YEC! This season Novak has already decided to skip out so he can stay fresh to play for Serbia & to begin 2025 by taking his 11th Aussie Open!:face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

Novak has not officially said he is skipping the YEC he was recently in the Maldives with his family, so was Federer with his family though they were staying at different resorts
I would not bet on Novak winning another Aussie Open......stranger things have happended

LL Cazaux wins the 1st set 63 over Rune
Rune can be a slow starter in matches, I have a feeling this match will go the distance

Oh well the No 2 seed Alcaraz, crashes out of Bercy 16 63 75 against Humbert, who was really feeding off the French fans and he remained 'fearless all match' regardless of the score, and this best win of career to date! and the 3rd set was one of the best this year between both players!
Alcaraz has to use his challenges more wisely in future

Rune was serving for the match in the 3rd set 5-3 and was broken
Lets see if he can serve out the match at his 2nd attempt 5-4
Rune d LL Cazaux in 3 sets 36 63 64 to make the QFs, you never know he might do his 2022 over again in Bercy in 2024!
Rune has made 3 QFs out of 3 career appearances in Paris!

Alcaraz on the path to be useless in the Fall! Unbelievably he lost in 3 sets to Hubert! He was "hotdogging" all thru the match & when it counted, was probably under duress where his serve was easily broken to lose 3rd set 5-7! Rune ended the run of the LL Cazaux in 3 sets! Sascha & Stefanos made it thru to the QF's comfortably though taking 3 sets as well! :fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::yawningface::astonished-face:

BTW according to my calculations if Zverev wins Bercy he can over take Alcaraz to No 2

One of these players will reach the Paris Final,
Humbert
Thompson
Khachanov ( 2028)
Dimitrov ( last years finalist) he is still in with a chance to make Turin though has to make at least the SF or Final and win
Rinderknech

No there's Metz too and Rublev just got a wildcard to try to get enough points to qualify for the Finals.

Correct though Rublev would have to win Metz to pass De Minaur
By winning R16 and Alex has made the QFs, he is now in 8th position, he has 3,745 points, and Rublev in 9th position has 3,720 points
Actually I am cheering for Alex to make the final 8 in Turin he was having a great year, when he sustained the hip injury at Wimbledon this year and had to withdraw, he spent 1 month off the tour, in rehab trying to get his hip healed

Going 3 sets in Bercy seems to be the order of the day, apart from the game where he got broken Dimitrov lost 4 serve points in all other service games, and against the run of play Rinderkneck turn things around and forces a decider! Tennis!
Rinderknech winning the 2nd set 64
Midnight in Bercy and we have a TB for the 3rd set
Finally,
Dimitrov d Rinerknech 62 46 76(5) to make the QFs in Bercy

I will put the ATP Race to Turin points presently, the players still in contention,

6th place Djokovic 3,910 points, Novak has not officially withdrawn from Turin
7th place Ruud 3,855
8th place De Minaur 3,745 ( he is in Paris QFs)
9th place Rublev 3,720 ( he has taken a WC to Metz next week though he needs to win it to pass Alex de Minaur)
10th place Dimitrov 3,240 ( he is in the QFs at Paris, though really needs to win the tournament, last years finalist)
