Thiem wins 7-5 in the 3rd. I have to say, it would have been a blow for him to lose to Stan. If he has any hopes of a comeback, he can't lose to a guy older and gimpier than he is, no matter how good Stan once was.

Dom will play Rune next, Stan needs a rest to me both mentally and physically, even drinking coffee in the break didnt help him

World No 10 Taylor Fritz withdraws following his 1st round win against Baez after suffering an abdominal injury, Daniel Altmaier gets a walkover to the next round
This means that Fritz is out of the ATP finals race as well. The only way he could qualify for the ATP Finals is as an alternate

Not a single French player in the 2nd round so far,
Fils
Bonzi,
Gasquet
Mannarino
Van Assche
Muller
Humbert and Monfils left?
Will French get a win?
Humbert is the only French player through with a straight sets win over Q Marcos Giron 64 63, Monfils had his chances against Cerundolo though his serve let him down when it mattered, lost in 3 sets.

Come on LeMonf just won a tournament last week. Give the guy a break.

WTF? Why? That's what I've been talking about; today's players so lame, they can't compete the following week after success! The Big 3 could overplay, win consecutive events or take a couple months off, then go about their business! The rest of the tour are predictably weak physically & mentally! Alcaraz was up a break on Safiullin, but lost 5 straight games to drop the 1st set! Too weird! Hopefully Novak won't been so "out of it" tomorrow when he plays his match! :face-with-head-bandage: :astonished-face: :fearful-face:  :face-with-hand-over-mouth:
