I hope there will be a Federer-Djokovic match here or a Federer-Nadal. It's been a while since I saw an intense and fierce match. And Federer needs to get a big win right now.

I wish that too, Djoker vs Fed, or Nadal. Djoker wasnt so good yesterday. I hope all three will pass much as possible so we could see some "tennis".

Fed can't handle matches on consecutive days anymore, we've seen this multiple times these past couple of years. He's going to exhaust himself for the WTF if he goes deep in Paris. I would be surprised if he even got out of the RR stage actually.
Fed said in interviews that he's not too fussed about notching up #100 here... it's more about establishing rhythm for the YEC.

Fed vs Fog. I could see that one being interesting for pure point to point clownery.

I was thinking the other day that all I wanted to see in 2019 is Fed Fog match. Going to be so entertaining. I really hope the fog brings it!

Can you imagine a 37 YO could finish YE#2 and may well have been YE#1 if he had played just a little better and faker hadn't peaked so hard. Just goes to show how dead this sport is where none of the youngsters have any say in it.

1. In WTF, a player does not play on two consecutive days, except for the SF and F. This is because the two groups play on alternate days.
Of course, if you fall in the wrong group, you will need to play the last three days in a row.

2. There is a week gap between Bercy and WTF to recover little bit.

3. Fed's goal at Bercy is not so much to win it, but to shake off the rust so that he can be more competitive at WTF.

Also,I think if Djokovic gets a sizable lead in Bercy Nadal will pull out of WTF so Federer could get the other group all to himself. That should give him some more breathing room.

If only Rafa was gracious enough to withdraw before the tournament commenced (even if he did after the draw was made), they would have rebalanced the draw and Federer and Novak would be on the opposite sides. :negative: :nono:

Ahh, Halloween, w/o and retire. Nadal might be calculating for London, not sure if he is really injured so bad. If so, he will probably skip London if Nole would capture some good points in Paris.

Nadal can also say he can't be in S. Arabia due to injury, so no angry on both.

These are good times for Roger usually. Slick indoor courts and flat shots. Roger can really employ his real arsenal on this kind of courts. And his game has more teeth than anyone.

If Novak takes the year end No 1, it will be his fifth. He will equal Fed and lead Nadal by 1.
