Qualifier Shymanovich making life difficult for the No 2 player Sabalenka, Saba finally wins the 1st set 75
Saba found her game and wins 75 62

A good solid 2nd rd performance from Sloane Stephens winning in SS 62 61 over Gracheva

Then turns around and dumps her serve again. Blinkova to serve for it a 2nd time. I hope she gets it. @Kieran is right. The French crowd is awful, cheering her errors and double faults
Question ❓ Did Miss Lil Bit fix her service ball toss issues she has on Friday

I didn't see her 1st round match. It went 3 sets and she survived, so here's hoping she did. We'll find out in a few. She's next up on court.

Nice to see Pavs recovering from the double bagel she got a few weeks back. To me she’s the epitome of the proverbial “wily veteran”.
Extremely good win for her. She was down 5-2 in the decider when I checked the scores. Somehow she managed to win 5 consecutive games and seal the victory

If Clara Tauson can stay healthy she could be a force on the tour, she has great technique, she hits the ball just as hard as Saba, though to me with better technique
Tauson wins the 1st set 63 over Fernandez
Trainer out working on Tauson's back, which has been a problem for sometime
Fernandez wins the 2nd set 75, this match has been a battle, going 3 sets

I know a certain person who will be smiling with this win?

Well done Clara Tauson defeating Fernandez in 3 tight sets, 63 57 64
This young lady has soo much talent such a clean striker of the ball, and if she can remain healthy 'Watch Out'
Well done Clara!

day or two ;)

The Kosova Tennis Federation has asked the IOC to fine Novak Djokovic for his comments on Serbia and Kosovo. The FFT said that they do not control what players write on the cameras so Novak did not break any rules. The French Sports Minister, however, said Novak's comments were 'inappropriate'
How about they fine Marta Kostyuk instead simply for being a pos.

What makes her a POS? For not shaking hands? She's not the only Ukrainian player who won't. Even though Sabalenka came out the other day with a pretty close condemnation of the war. Djokovic, on the other hand, is being a pot-stirrer where it's not necessary. THAT is being a POS.

The No 1 seeds Krejcikova/Siniakova ( their first loss of the year) were defeated by unseeded pair of U. Eikeri/ E. Hozumi 36 62 62
