It’s possible but that doesn’t excuse them. I don’t like Parisians at the best of times. I think Paris is ruined by them. I haven’t visited Paris in over 20 years because it’s filled with Parisians. Bad enough that Paris is surrounded by French people as it is, but to be filled with Parisians? Boo!

But seriously, when France surrendered in the last war they were in, they understood better how hopelessly distressing that was, to put it mildly. Now they're a bit smug and forgetful, thinking that a handshake is important when the player involved is under a terrible strain?
I personally do not have an issue w/ the no handshakes even though it's not the players fault there's a war going on. I do however have an issue with her attitude and some of her comments.

I think it was 2011 and that was a turning point in her career. She went on to win more than ten titles including the year end title.Razzano was rubbing it in,and was really cheesing for the cameras.
Can't be 2011 Tossip. She was off the tour most of that year w/ that cut on her foot. She came back and played Wimby, going out in 4th round to Bartoli. She then played the Bank of the West which she won and the Rogers Cup that she also won. Pulled out of Cinci after a match and then lost in the USO final to Stosur. She didn't play any more matches after that until the new season.

They’re not hugely nasty comments though, are they? I think the French could have been more sympathetic towards Marta. They might not remember what it is for their country to be invaded, but they could have tried…
Puuhlease , its not like the French would have the collective history of their own homeland being invaded 3 times within 110 years or even 4 times in 150 years..

Wait, What?

Never mind. ; )

Finally somebody understands me. And they might have drawn on that collective memory of aggression against their state, but instead they booed, like brats. It was distasteful, and disgraceful. They should have remembered what Marta was going through..

Just finished watching high lights of Coco Gauffs game which I missed earlier, she did make the necessary adjustments that were needed, even though she took the scenic route, conditions were difficult today, with wind, it was her first round match, she does have Patrick with her, which is a positive going forward at RG

Yes the One and Only he has also been in Rune's box he is a busy bee! lol!
I used to like Coco. What’s she doing with that clown? He’s a parasitical coach. Hopefully she’s only going through a phase. I thought she’d seen through him years ago..

Coco has not a proper coach at present, she has known Patrick since she was 10 yrs old, he offered to be her coach at RG, she accepted

Yeah I know she was with him when she was young, that’s why I said I thought she’d seen through him. Anyway, her career. I still like her but I don’t see him as being the best choice of coach. Temporarily as it is, and all…

I think he is a good coach, it is just the way he goes about things, he does love to be the centre of attention, and mouthy, when Serena was looking for a new coach, Patrick being a new voice in Serena's ear, look at the results they had when he was her coach, though she was a champion player before they hooked up
Apparently Coco will start interviewing for a new permanent coach, I would say after RG finishes
