This just reminds me of what Rafa says, like you put yourself in a position and then anything can happen. This year Novak clearly not at his best on clay, but he kept digging and improved and look where that got him, he is with one foot in the final. Maybe he learned a thing from Rafa, especially the Rafa from the last year in RG.

Same can be said for Zverev and Ruud, both of whom were struggling all year before this tournament.

I was only following the score but if Novak was truly cheering like that when his opponent was badly hampered then his gluten free ass should be made to eat 10 full baguettes later for those 2 breadsticks. Bad form.

I didn't see that, about Rafa, but I went out. Still, if there was more than you and Fiero to hold up the other side, it might not be mostly Rafa fans. (I don't mention Don Fabio, because he also thinks Rafa is amazing. )

Well, it's a shame we didn't get the match we were hoping for. It was thrilling for 2 sets.

@Fiero: Novak's "injuries" will be taken seriously when he ever suffers a consequence of them. His forehand was faster in the 2nd set, during which supposedly he was bothered by his right arm, than it was in the first set. And then, never another sign of it. Even my commentators noted that.
