Some people think that Djokovic is a threat for the title but Alcaraz will demolish him too! :bye:
Wasnt that you, I remember you considered Musetti a threat and I did say to you No, well you saw if for yourself he is too green in area's of his game and mentally needs to get better for starters

Without Alcaraz he would have made it to the final. So yeah he was one of the contenders along Rune, Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Zverev, Ruud... I thought it was unfair to not mention him alongside the others, even though the others will lose too when face with Alcaraz.

Unlike Sacha and Stefonos who doesn't possess the man's lower parts to defeat Novak, Carlitos and Holger are ready to decapitate the whiny Serbian Slayer..

Does anyone know which semifinal goes first on Friday - top half of the draw or bottom? I suspect the bottom half because the winner will have a longer rest for the final, given that they have only a single days rest after the Q/F, but I could be wrong. I have a pal visiting on Friday and don’t want to be rude watching tennis when they’re here - though obviously I will be if I have to be!

During the telecast, Courier said Djokovic would have 2 days to prepare for his match! Sched. out it s/b Novak playing QF Tues., 2 days off, then plays SF Friday if both he and Alcaraz win thru! Nishioka's had a dream draw so far w/ all the upsets in the bottom half! :fearful-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

Yeah but would that be the first semi or second? What’s the tradition been?

Varillas plays fearless tennis. I've seen him play a few times already (on streams or TV), mostly challengers. About two or three years ago, he started to sweep the clay south american challengers. He jumped from outside #400 to inside #150 in a couple of months. It seemed he would keep climbing and reach at least around #50, but as with a lot of other up and comers from this part of the world, he stalled from some reason. He also was not playing that much for a while, but I just checked his ranking history and basically kept inside the #150 ever since. I watched parts of his match against RBA, still the same player, very aggressive. Who knows if the next jump is not happening right now...

He will give much more of a fight than people think. I had him beating HH in my bracket at first, but later on went for the safer pick... chicken shit.

Ofner is a good player, I have seen him play twice. Both times I had the feeling he should be ranked higher than he is (but rankings don't lie...).
I am definitely watching too many challengers...

I don't care about tradition! I'm sure Djkr match w/b featured late! Why'd they put Carlos & Novak up 1st when low seeds in the offing's other match?
I’m trying to remember last year, I think Rafa played zverev first, did he?, and they came out of the top half of the draw?

After Novak was taken out in the QF, I lost interest! Like some haters, I preferred not to see another "gimme" clay court victory by Rafa! Sascha had a chance, but IMO he probably would've coughed it up even if he hadn't injured himself in the SF! Why would he be everyone's hero that time? :exploding-head:

Kieren,

Both men's semi finals will be played Friday 9th June
Right, but he wants to know in what order. I can never keep it straight, year to year. The top half of the draw started first, so do they play first on Friday, or is it purely up to the organizers? The top half of the draw would almost certainly have the marquee match, so would they want that up 2nd?
