There was no real challenge for them so far. They both look good and hope their match will be a great one. It's hard to imagine FAA and Shortman to be too much of a trouble, they could both win a set maybe.Too crazed with work to watch any tennis. How was Rafa? How was Novak? Their scoreline were nearly identical. And how was young Carlitos?
Agree, Korda was clueless last night. Still that power on the forehand from Alcaraz was just too much for him to handle, like no defense at all. Korda could improve his serving too. Some of these young American youngsters if they are serious about clay need to go to Spain and attend one of the many tennis academy's
Korda for example today in his match against Alcaraz was caught out of position on the court and his defensive skills were found wanting.
First thing you learn on clay is defense turning into offense.Simple No? and how to use all the court and most important point of all how to 'construct a point'.
He does have QF points to defend. So by choosing to play this event he will go as far as his dirt baller skills will take him. I believe he's extra motivated as he's not likely to play on grass unless he goes to Germany or Spain for a warm-upI am a bit surprised by Medvedev. He is having a good run here, just dispatched Mecmanovic with ease and he looked very dominant on court. He could possibly go further than anyone thought, maybe even to semis?? I thought he wouldn't make it this far before the tournament.
He has cough drop next, should be a good match, could go either way.He does have QF points to defend. So by choosing to play this event he will go as far as his dirt baller skills will take him. If Rune holds his lead today, it looks like my prediction of a dangerous floater will be correct. In fact, if he wins today, he will be ranked 31st in the rankings meaning he will be seeded at Wimbledon. Not too bad for the 19 year old. While he might be young, I will say Holger Rune.

This looks like a complete demolition, I just checked the scores. Novak is conserving his energy well for the remaining of the tournament and possibly draining 4-5 hour battles. So much for my prediction that Schwartzman could at least keep Novak on court for a bit. 2'15". Tennis channel didn't show any of it.
