Wow. I haven't seen Taylor Townsend in a while...um yeah I'm surprised she moves as well as she does.

^She has struggled with her weight for a long time, Taylor. Couple years ago there was a huge controversy when USTA asked her NOT to play tournaments because of her weight. They claimed it was for her own good.

Well, I am sure she could benefit from losing weight, but she made it to number 1 in juniors with this weight. Everyone is different.

Yeah KS and I were talking about this perhaps a year ago, but this weight seems to be much more than she was carrying during the Juniors. I understand people have different body types but geez....

I find it hard to understand how , with all the training, she carries that much weight. Maybe it is a metabolism issue. But she is still a teenager too. She will figure it out. She is a strong girl and has a great lefty game.

You only come around when Serena loses or Maria is winning. Where are you when Maria loses? I seem to remember you disappearing after Brisbane, Australia, Paris indoors, IW, Miami. Shall I go on? Don't be a fickle fan. Maria deserves better than a fair-weather fanatical.

I think that's definitely part of it. She needs to figure out how to ignore the crowd. Easier said than done, I know.

In the old days, that was common place; absolute beasts running around like that! Martina changed all that over 30 years ago! Townsend's a throwback to an era long since gone!

I'm a little surprised they didn't put Cornet on Chatrier. They don't have many French women left in the draw.

Don't think I've ever seen Cornet NOT complaining or talking to herself/someone during a match. She is very high-strung.

Lisicki must have had some bad ju-ju put on her some years ago, cause once again she falls and hurts her wrist this time. ..won't be surprised if she retires vs. Barthel....sigh

Hoping Taylor pulls this one out, would show a lot of mental fortitude for an 18 yr old with this hostile crowd.
