Lol, JLLB - first he's getting destroyed in set two, then he's hanging on in set 2...

Soon (hopefully), he will be winning set two.

the real djokovic turned up and broke to lead 6-5..neimanen looks tired now

. he had a break point for a doublebreak for 4-1 lead earlier but novak stopped the horrorfest.

Top quality tennis from Niemenen the first two sets. Novak ran his legs off, and now he's having all kinds of trouble here in the third.

^Yes it's become the pattern. Novak's ability to pull away in the final set is uber impressive

I was watching Niemenen killing the ball, just hitting great shots... All the while I was thinking to myself, "Novak is making him run and run."

Yup. You have to make the opportunity count with Novak. Unless you're Murray and Nadal, and even then...

Murray looked a little gassed at the end of the Australian Open too.

Yup. I think he exerted too much energy worrying about what was going on with Novak. He may have learned a big lesson from that :snicker I doubt he'll be suckered like that in future. But the question is... will his tennis be good enough anyway?

Jack Sock is pretty good. I think he's a legit top 20 player, not sure if he can go higher than that, though.

They've known each other for years... his comments about Novak were simply to deflect from how badly he lost the plot during the match. He backtracked for extensively after being called on it.

oh yes absolutely I agree. I'm not talking about his excuses. But he clearly wasn't able to cope with Novak's theatrics. Have you noticed that Novak doesn't do that against Roger? A stone cold killa recognises another :D

I kind of think Grigor is one of those "guys like Sock" at this point, or at least not far ahead.
