I’ll cheer for Halep if Muguruza wins and Kerber if MS wins. I still think MS could win the title. She knows it is her last chance and will give it everything she’s got. She isn’t good enough on other surfaces and will be very beatable next year.

I would like Halep to win. Hence, I am rooting for Keys in this SF even though I actually will be rooting for SS otherwise.

So excited for both Maddy and Sloane. Irrelevant sidebar, as I watch the replay: who was the dishy umpire in the chair during Key/Putintseva?

Simona down 2 breaks 4-1. Angie is applying the clamps. Mugu has the early break and threatening another one 2-0

Maria looks shell shocked. Has she played Mugu before?

Well you can throw those meetings out. This isn't the Garbine from 4 years ago. She's won slams since then.

Meanwhile Simona gets one break back and holds, making the scoreline more respectable. Kerbie then dumps serve. 5-5

What a crazy match. This is looking like their SF at the AO. Kerbie breaks again and will serve for the 1st set again

Mugu takes the opener 6-2.

Good for Garbiñe. Really squashed Maria.

Well done Garbina. The moment a top player faces Maldonova she gets schooled. Nice...

Yeah. Even w/o Serena, I never saw Maria getting through all those landmines.
