He's a not as good as Novak, on clay or hard. Weren't you just preemptively excusing him for the death of his mother? Mastoor was saying that he was worried that would affect Nole's play. I argue that it shouldn't.
Of course Novak is better player than RBA but my point is that he is not so good playing on clay, he always has had better results on HC

Seriously? I know that Novak is a bit of a softy, but if RBA is tough enough to get out and play with conviction, then Djokovic should honor that and play him like a real opponent.

I hope so. But RBA is also his friend , not just random guy he just played with before.

Well, the boy has already decided for three of them because they (Jelena and children) are in Belgrade most of the time, so I think sooner or later Nole will have to say he moved there too. On the other hand, what does he need the tax-haven for anymore? He is already richer than God and everyone in his family seem modest.
Leave God alone, very bad comparison. Anyway I´m surprised that his wife and kids are not living with him in Montecarlo or he with them in Belgrado , is it only because the 'taxes'?

I've always wondered why he chose a tax-haven when he made such a show of being Serbian. But, sure, if he feels he can afford it, now, why not? Also, with 2 kids, if that's where the grandparents are, and the real support system, that would make sense.

Tennis players don't live in one place, but they go from tournament to tournament, then they go to different places to do things for their sponsors and then they may go to train in different places. So, I guess there is very little time for Novak when he is not busy and for him that time is shared between "Montecarlo or he with them in Belgrado".

He said he felt disturbed by everyone in the street willing to talk to him, while in Montecarlo, hardly anyone approached him, so he was in peace. However, since he was injured recently, he said he liked how everyone in Belgrade was supporting him on streets.

They don't live in one place, necessarily, but they chose a residence, and sometimes for tax purposes.

I can see why that makes sense. And I can see why, when he's needing to get back to basics, and what brought him to the party, maybe better to go home.

Tennis players live in one place but not necessarily in their own country for diferent reasons but of course they have to travel all around the world and that’s the reason they can’t be with the family all the time unlesss the family are traveling with them like Federer does. I understand more and more why Rafa is not still ready to have kids, his girlfriend has a career and I don’t think she would like to travel all around the world with the kids, it sounds to be tough

I think Rafa is 32 and Maria is his age, so I guess they should think of having family sooner rather than later.

Maria is 30 years old so she has still plenty time to have kids, maybe in two or three more years? perfect age

Sure, if you go by his recent prize money, he does not need a tax haven anymore. :lulz2:

My friend, you don't need Montecarlo for prize money, because you pay tax in each country where you earn prize money. He needs it for sponsorship money which is well over 30M p.a. and may only be bigger and bigger in coming years.

Interesting fact, they say Diego Schwartzman won both his matches with identical result 61 63 61 and each in in 87 minutes.

So you do admit that he needs MC as a tax dodge for sponsorship money. Either he's going to stay in Monaco for financial reasons, or he's going to reclaim his residence in Serbia, for family reasons. I hope whatever he decides is best for him. Surely, even if he moves back to Belgrade, he can afford the tax hit.

Yeah, I never get the tax evasion thing. Perhaps Monaco is better living, I could see that, Cote d'Azur is really nice especially if you can afford it.

What is up with RBA? Why would Nole feel sorry for him?

I hope little Diego gets to fight the bull in the QF. What a fighter!
