Not even dream about it, I'd love to see a final between Stan-Rafa because this time the 'good luck' would go to the other side, I mean to the best player on clay :bloodsucker2:

Honestly, if I were a Nadal fan I wouldn't wish to see Wawrinka on the final. Even if I still give Nadal a 95,37% chance to come away with the victory, he has nothing to win in this situation (besides the trophy, duh). I mean, everyone expects him to win, so if he does, ok, "nothing more than his obligation". But if he loses... better face anyone else, in case disaster happens it will be just that, disaster.

I don't like to make predictions about who is going to win or not, I rather to see match by match and also to see how every one is playing but if Rafa would reach the final I'd like to see Wawrinka or Thiem at the other side of the net

^In fact, me too, they could well be fantastic matches (but Thiem and Nadal would face on the semis).

I think Carol's talking about an ideal world, not this draw, that he'd play the best player in the final, and in that she's probably right, this tournament.

Yeah, Stan is Nadal's best opponent mostly. Even Murray should be good despite the history. By good, I mean I expect at least a competitive match. He is playing at a decent level IMHO.

The question is can Dominic conquer the Djokovic ghosts of tennis past? Novak has own him in their previous encounters.

Given Stan's propensity for not losing many finals, Nadal doesn't want to see him there.

I think last year was even more pathetic.
Last year was pretty bad. It rained all day for about 4 days and all the matches were backed up. I remember the bottom half of the women's draw especially had to play R16-Final with no days off.

I checked the weather and think play could resume at 7 pm. That will leave enough time for the women to finish. Men would have to play tomorrow. Doesn't that disadvantage today's group?

Is wawrinka injured?
He was talking about his back after the Monfils match, but he said that, as at the USO, you just play with pain. So it doesn't sound serious.

I don't think so. Thursday is a down-day for the men. So if both halves of the draw play QF tomorrow, they both have Thursday off, then SFs on Friday. So that works, right?
