Who's running this tournament? They had to know there was rain in the forecast for today. When it's supposed to rain and you don't have a roof, how about starting at 11AM instead of 2PM?

Now will the final be postponed to Monday?
Probably not. As Mox said, all the men will play QF tomorrow, day off Thurs. SF on Fri, final on Sun. They will have to put QF matches on other courts, but it's the only way to ensure every match gets played tomorrow.

Wimbledon: Rain you say?!?! Lol
8 minutes and we have one court ready to play on.
USO: It started to rain? Haha, fu€k off.
10 minutes later and we have 2 courts to play on.
AO: Is it rainin' m8? Hahaha, no worries.
10 minutes later and we have 1 or 2 playable courts.

RG: Monsieur, it seems it has just started to rain.
OH GOD NO!!!!!
OH NOOOOO
WHAT CAN WE POSSIBLY DO????
THE FORCES OF NATURE HAVE BESTED US ONCE MORE
WE ARE DOOMED

These guys are such bastards. I would degrade it to a 500 event for good, without a chance to redeem themselves. That would teach them. Grand slam my a$$.

Look, it's not like the USO or even Wimbledon have had a roof for very long. And Paris is getting one. Meantime, though, would it kill them to hang a few lights? (Wouldn't help today, obviously.) Anyway, they were right not to try to start the men.

Excuse me if my post looked unreasonable, I thought it would be funny.
But as a tennis fan, you would know how it feels to prepare to watch 2 matches and then get a big fat NOPE.
Frustrating really.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound stroppy. Yes, I'm very disappointed not to watch those 2 matches today, in particular. And the stop/start on the women's took a lot of the drama out. So yeah, today was a drag. :skull:

Nole has also acknowledged the ball kids' existence by barking at them during the match. And sure the crowd likes that thing: it's design to pander to them. After he barks at the crowd during the match. Once the match is done...all hearts and flowers. It doesn't really ring as genuine as Steve Johnson's emotions or Del Potro's gesture towards Almagro, or Nico's tears, for that matter. It's decent theatre for the crowd, though, I suppose.
I've always thought the gesture was something that originated in his publicist's office. Easy way to engender love from the crowd.
No knock on it; it's a good scheme

Except for Andy, Novak and Nishi all other players still alive have won a clay title this year. Usually, winning a clay title is not a huge predictor of going deep at RG. This year seems to be different.
