He said he head tennis elbow. He has also had shoulder issues. Both involve the tendons. They are painful and also cause delayed muscle control. He has said recently he is fit but he would say that regardless.
If he has shoulder and elbow tendon problems he should take care with it before it would be too late

Oops, Agassi is there today but I think he said he will stay just the first week
He showed up just in time to see Novak break and serve out the 2nd. TTC says he's got other, previously scheduled obligations there, so he's working around them.

I wouldn't mind so much, but it's not as if Diego is doing something really special out there... it's not a Soderling/Nadal experience...
Schwartzman is playing very well, and he's sometimes doing to Novak what ND does to others. But a lot of the damage for Nole is also self-inflicted.

I don't know about tennis elbow but if there is tendon damage from the shoulder it could need surgery. I had to have shoulder surgery after a year of physio. The result has been brilliant but after surgery I could not use my right hand and had to have the shoulder immobilised for four months, then gradually build up flexibility and muscle strength. Not the scenario a 30 yr old tennis pro would go for.

Surgery sometimes is not the best solution, on the contrary sometimes even is worst. I hope he doesn't have rotator cuff tear though it doesn't look he has otherwise he couldn't play

I wouldn't have had surgery if the physio had helped but I had torn the tendon right off the bone. Minor tears in some people are not noticed, its a very variable condition. And of course maybe not the problem. But the patchy way he plays and loss of control and power really indicate something chronic. Matts Wilander has been commenting on it today.

I see the Argentine is playing well and it's not the first time he is giving a hard time to his opponents

Well well well, Swarzman taking Novak the distance. Further undermines any prospect of retaining the title.

Can't see Carreno Busta threatening Nadal. If anyone steps up it will likely be Djokovic, Stan or Thiem, but I wouldn't bet money on any of them.. and Djoker might not even survive this round, the way things are going.

Carreno Busta? Are you serious? I agree Nadal's competition looks especially weak this tournament, but to single out Carreno Busta as a threat...

Schwartzman is playing well, but I think he is also getting help from Dijokovic's negative body language.

Read closely my friend... I said Carreno-Busta wasn't a threat in response to somebody else.

Yeah I know. I thought his/her quote would be included as well (need to get used to the new settings here I guess). I was responding to the thread. I know you wouldnt see him as a threat.
