He improved it over time. To my knowledge he was 2-9 in 5 setters in SF and F stage of majors before 2017. He now sits at 5-10. Still beyond awful of course but it's better. But this one is the worst he's had as far as historical significance.
There was always the argument earlier in his career that he did poorly because he played them so infrequently, being such a dominating player and great front runner. That has changed over the years, and makes sense that he's improved the record.

I always found that argument to be poor anyways. It is an area of mental weakness especially when you analyze how they played out. No less than 5 have come from 2 sets to 1 up and now 4 have come from MP up.
