Gulbis has now won 2 straight matches. Well done, Ernie. It's a start :p

Isn't it 3 or did he get a walkover in the 1st round?

IT's 3; not to mention he had to qualify! Check the draw if you like! Both are there:

Jamie Murray just beat Andy Murray in Montreal doubles to take the title of best doubles player in the family.

JMurray/Peers bt AMurray/Paes 6-4, 7-6(9)

Correct. Gulbis is on a 5 match winning streak. He might have found his mojo which was missing all yar long. Nole is next, that is the big exam.

I don't normally like Mary Carillo's commentary, but she just said the funniest thing: Nadal is a fussy little man!

Oh Boy, what a heresy? Wait until Broken and Kieran post hundreds of messages attacking both you and Carillo and may be even her grandmother. :snicker

Rafa's first serve % is in the 70's again. Any speed gun numbers on it?

The mad doctor did not go quietly into the good night though. Really fought for those 6 games he won. It's good to see from the Youz. :clap

Mary Carrillo does always so lame comments, she is a lol. One of her "brillant" quotes was:
"Roger Federer usually stand for Roger Federer but today it'll stand for Roof Federer because he will play under the roof" ......:cover
And other quote even worse: "He's going to cry so much that roof won't matter" Carrillo on Federer potentially crying if he would win Wimbledon" ....:cover

Enjoyed that first set with Goffin and Nishi. This was the kind of tennis I''ve been hoping for all week.

SO, the QFs are set.

Novak - Gulbis
Isner - Chardy
Rafa - Kei
Murray - Tsonga

This is not a bad bunch of players left, considering that there were so many upsets.

Nice by Kei. He says on court: "I am close to 100%".
About his lob tweener: "It wasn't great, but I got lucky a little and it went in".
;)
