And in Canada. I'm very worried for Felix. Max Purcell...really? Felix is about to become that aging prodigy/unfulfilled talent.
I said at this time last year that we would get definitive answer on the direction of Felix's career. Felix's results this year have convinced me that he just doesn't have what it takes. We usually know by 22, and definitively by 23, whether a prodigy is going to take that next step and fulfill the talent. This is why I say the same thing for Jannik Sinner now. I am almost 100% sure that 12 months from now, Sinner either will have won a slam or at least something of note, or he will have taken a huge step back and lost ground against the younger players (Rune, etc).

All it takes is a big run at Cincinnati to turn it around just as it did last year post USO when Felix won three titles in the early Fall that really built up his confidence.

Poo is back with the Young Greek and unfortunately I'm not referring to the great childhood favorite Winnie.

It must be a G thang!

This is something we'll have to get accustommed! It's amazing how a player will make a final & even win, but the next event they're beat early! :astonished-face:
Stefano just made things difficult with this 1st round exit, he has Masters finalist points (600) to defend at Cincy. Gives the Scandinavians Ru’s an opening for that coveted 4th seed at Flushing Meadows.

Probably not a good idea to throw everything in for a 250 in Chimichanga land. Probably more Holger than Ruud w/ a chance. If I'm not mistaken, the Ghost reached the Canada final last year

The same thing happened to Novak trying to make the 2022 YEC w/ limited pts! He won Astana & Tel Aviv only to drop Paris Masters' final to Rune!

Sinner just finished off his countryman, Matteo B.! Is it my imagination or is Jannick's legs even skinnier than usual? He's looks breakable! My arms are probably thicker than his thighs! Matteo not sporting any extra weight either! :face-with-head-bandage: :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :astonished-face: :fearful-face: :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Well, one of those Italians had to lose. I'm glad to see Sinner playing well, but Matteo is still lacking in form and confidence to make those big shots work. Hoping he finds it by the USO.
