the joint is packed and jumpin. Serena always did draw a crowd. I'm sure ticket sales went through the roof when she announced her pending exit

Clearly Bencic is not buying into the notion that she should fold for nostalgia's sake.

I will say all Serena matches at the USO will be a sell out and I hope she plays doubles with Venus

Serena had a good chance with that 2nd serve of Bencic shot it wide
You were right earlier. She's all over the place w/ her groundies. No rhythm on the return. I get it. Winning Rogers isn't the ultimate goal, but she's finding out what the competition will be like and she hasn't even faced a top 10 yet.

I'm no fan of Bencic's, but it's interesting and embarrasing to see we have a-#oles in my birth country acting this way! I mean "applauding" a double fault! Disgusting and classless IMO! I'm shocked to $#!t! I expected better of Canadians who have such a great reputation! BTW, I was born on the island of Newfoundland! My father was in the USAF stopping over before heading back to the States! :angry-face: :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face:

Kind of expected Mox. Once I saw the draw, I figured she would get 2 matches here and we'll see what happens in Cinci, but there's a chance she may only play one more match before the Open.

Unfortunately, there’s a chance she may play only two more matches ever, if the draws in Cincinnati and NYC are like this.

They gave Serena a farewell befitting a legend.I was crying with her and it's truly the end of an unmatched career. That arena in Toronto was packed to the rafters and they were cheering her on. ..so long legend.
