When was the last time we had a Fedalovic free ATP 1000 Masters (not to mention back to back Fedalovic free Masters)? Does Toronto 2021 mark the end of the Fedalovic era?
Surely the "Fed" part of it has ceased to be relevant, all but certainly for good, but it seems early to claim the other two are done.

H.Hurkacz gets a walkover to the next round as Kei Nishikori withdraws.,due to shoulder injury
Hurkacz plays the winner of Alex de Minaur or Basilashvili.

Nishikori seemed to be rounding up to form starting buoyed by home Olympics. It only took a couple of tournaments for Glassikori to strike back.

Truly the beginning of the end; FINALLY! This era's gone on much too long! I won't be 1 of those harking back nostalgically as some might think!

I’m hoping Shapo can build on his Wimbledon Semi and have a good showing here.
Missed the first set, which Tiafoe won 6-1. (What happened there?) Crowd is getting involved...can Denis the Menace come good for the home crowd?

LL Tiafoe won 6-1, 6-4
He played such a good match. I was really torn between the two, as I wanted Denis to do well in his home country, but Tiafoe is really maturing very well. And he's my local boy. :)

I think Francis handled the windy conditions better than Denis, from what I saw of the match

Monfils seems to be finding some of the old mojo, but Millman is a cool character. Into the 3rd.

Then he plays brilliantly to get the break back. I think Millman is a bit hobbled.

Great win for Monfils, and much needed. Though Millman wasn't 100% in the 3rd set.
