Just checking results, as I watch Bianca Andreescu playing, I am seeing Khachanov getting through Sasha, so it will be a Russian finalist either Medvedev or Khachanov

Imo Medvedev will do better than Tsitsipas in the pretty near future. Good tournament for him so far. Up to 6 in the live rankings.

Not 6, just 8.
But I agree, he has a great year.

Seeing younger guys like KK and Medvedev doing well is exactly what's needed for tennis leading up to US Open. Hope they go deep there too.

………..remember, what happened in Wimby, all semifinalists were over 30.

I didn't see any of the men's matches so far today, but while not so surprised that Medvedev and KK won, I was surprised at the score lines. Did anyone see any of them today? Thiem went down 3, 1 to DM and Zed 3, 3 to KK. While I'm am reluctantly accepting that Thiem really isn't all that on HCs, and I know Zverev is in a bad slide, but jeepers...I found that surprising. Unless someone tells me the Russians were just too good today.

And speaking of steep slides: Dimitrov has dropped 20 places in the live rankings and is now at #74. Also, RBA is at NCH #11 on live rankings. When Fabio loses tonight, if RBA wins, he goes to #10.

Side question: When did anyone last see Pascal Maria? He used to be ubiquitous, but now I can’t remember the last time I saw him.

EDIT: Never mind. He retired.

Oh, interesting. Now, Tennis Channel officially sucks. I'm watching a rerun of Serena's match last night, even though Rafa is playing Fognini, and Serena v. Osaka won't start for a few minutes.

Wobbly start for Nadal.
