Great match to watch. To recover from that DF on match point was very impressive

Yes indeed he was 168 ranked a year ago.
Tomorrow he will be 20 years old. Great birthday present.

And a genuine speech on court to boot.

So does he replace Zverev as the next top promising young player?

Now we need Khachanov to blow Rafa off the court

If he wins tomorrow, absolutely

I disagree that a win replaces Sascha as the top young gun. Sascha has 3 MS titles and a couple years as a top 3 guy already. I think Tsitsipas definitely has a chance at a brighter future but let's see how he does with more expectations which certainly will start by next year.

So instead of getting Kandy, dull will get an exhausted Sitsipas. Great success.

I noticed there is a serve clock at the Rogers Cup. Will that be used for the US Open? If a player violates the time limit, what will be the consequences? Since everybody will be able to see the time violations, the violators will have to be sanctioned promptly, to avoid problems if some players get preferential treatment.

I did not get to see the match. But, looks like the young greek played well and withstood a giant server. Hats off to him. Now, just one more win please.

Apparently, Tsi is guaranteed of #15 ranking even if he loses to Ralph. If he wins, he gets to #12. That is terrific movement.

These tournament organizers are dumb. :lol6: Because of these staggered SF, it is now raining in primetime and may not stop for 2-3 hours. :negative: Why not play the matches back-to-back (especially when dicey weather is forecast)

I would prefer a plate of Peasant's head as birthday present.

The peasant will be too much for this Greek for a bit longer. That backhand is nice and has potential but it's a weakness against the grunting pig.

I think they were coordinating with the Montreal girls so that people can see all four SFs without any overlap between them.

Assuming their match does not gets started before midnight and assuming Khachanov can keep him on court till 3 p.m., the Greek has some chances.

I don't think so. Even if they play tomorrow, the first match will be like a warm up for Nadal. He will be fresh enough to beat Tsitsipas in the final.
