The semifinals in Men's doubles is set. If Rafa wins one more match in the doubles event, he is guaranteed of at least a bronze medal (if he loses the SF, he will play for bronze with the other loser).

Top SF: USA vs. Romania
Bottom SF: Spain vs. Canada

I can't believe that Rafa tomorrow will play three matches, one single and two doubles, wow!:cover

He says: "I'm enjoying on court at the same time not too much pressure from me. After two months not competing I don't expect much. I just expect to enjoy the Olympic experience again and that's what I'm doing. You never know if it's the last Olympic for me, hopefully not. But it's a possibility......

The tournament schedule is decided ahead of time. If you enter in three events and go deep in all, this could happen.

Of course, the reason Rafa entered all the events is that he was not sure that he will be succeeding like the way he did so far.

Anyway, don't worry. He will lose Men's doubles tomorrow and win the other two.

Hmmmm, I would say he is going to win the doubles but I'm not sure about the singles and mix doubles. Simon is a tough opponent and Garbine is not doing so well :s

Very good analysis Miss Carol..3 matches today.. That's unrealistic for him but he knows his body..

Forget about tomorrow. The longer he can dodge these things, the further goes in the tourney and so it is much preferable to have multiple matches later than sooner.

All matches postponed, except for six that they plan to play in the evening. 2 Women's QF, 2 Men's 3R and 2 Mixed 1R. Rafa will not play at all today.

That's crazy.. Why wouldn't at least one of Rafa's matches go forward today.. I would say the same thing regardless who the player is. To sit out a full day and to potentially have to play numerous of matches is insanity.

Even the six matches that they hoped to get through are now postponed. Today is a complete washout
and so expect the same schedule of matches for tomorrow.

So, they may have to extend the duration by at least one more day as it would be difficult to squeeze in things. So, those who make it to SF might be forced to skip Cincy, even if they want to play. :(

They still can finish on Sunday, but the gold medal finalists wouldn't get a day off between their semi and final as was originally planned. Per google, there isn't any more rain forecasted- so hopefully they don't get set back again. Also, given that the top guys get a bye in the first round of Cincinnati, I'm hoping Andy and Rafa still make it there.

Simon may be perfect for Rafa to get his rhythm and timing . However not good if it goes 3 sets

I'm glad that he didn't go to 3 sets, otherwise he would leave the court today in an ambulance :cover
