Disappointed heavily. Was planning to watch dog vs. bull match (did not watch anything so far in Feb).
Meanwhile Thiem has won against Ferrer and reaches SF.

Thiem is likely to get another chance against bull.

Thiem is legit. He's beaten #5 Rafa and #8 Ferrer within a week of each other. Not bad, not bad.

Rio weather report:

As my last night flight was cancelled, I stayed another night in Rio. Left this morning, light rain was falling, but the skies were clear nearby and I would guess day matches must go without problem.

Pity for the Dog, pulled out with a shoulder injury. Rafa into the semis...

This time Nadal is lucky, maybe God of tennis decided to help him a little bit ??

Since Nadal is an atheist, he probably wouldn't notice.

It's about time If the tennis gods want to help him the same way they are helping to others

Meanwhile Gunter Bresnik was the Becker's coach years ago and now is Thiem's coach....interesting

It's funny, I was just looking at the 2016 predictions thread from last year and I saw this prediction you made last November about 2016: 'Thiem starts head-hunting top 20 opponents'!
Good call, Dude, although he's already surpassing your expectations - he's beating top tenners!

Thiem loses the first set to Pella 6-1. If Thiem loses, Rafa might get to lift the trophy without facing a serious opponent.

Thiem wasn't a so called "serious opponent " until he defeated Rafa last week so what's your point .

Thiem took down Ferrer in two quick sets last night too. Guido Pella is a dirt devil... a true clay court specialist. On top of that, he's playing really well.

And like I said before Pella is playing well but far to great and I knew he went to be a tough opponent for Thiem
And Rafa meanwhile is still is in limbo playing against Cuevas .....hope the second set is going to be faster

It won't be faster if he keeps taking over 25 seconds between points :s A lot of slop from both guys but some great play here and there too.

Even the commentators are asking where is the strict 25 seconds between points gone. A joke here in this match.

Nadal has developed Djokovicitis with those terrible drop shots.

These days it seems Nadal's backhand is much more reliable than his forehand.

Another horrible drop shot but he got away with it this time.

Trust me he will regain his fh, when he is able to solidify both, its payback time

We'll see :) Won't be good enough to beat Djokovic either way even if he does.
