Does anyone know of any betting houses that offers odds for a player not winning RG?

Big 4 versus the field odds:

Big 4: 1/9
Field: 34/5

Approximately they give 90% chance for one of Big four to win.

In this case is the Big 2 Novak and Rafa or Novak and Roger?

Good question. It is Djokovic and Nadal.

Thanks. Only vaguely helpful, though, since I never understand betting odds.

Huh? It's not Djokovic and Murray?

What I am really looking for is Big 1 (or is it the small 1) vs. the Field Odds.
I could not find it anywhere so far.

If you place $100 saying one of the big 2 will win, and one of them actually wins, you will
get your $100 back and make $22.22 profit. If neither one of them wins, your $100 will go
down the drain.

If you place $100 saying neither of the big 2 will win, and neither actually wins, you will
get your $100 back and make $275.00 profit. If one of the big 2 ins, your $100 will go down
the drain.

I appreciate your effort to explain. However, all I can read in your post is "money down the drain." I'm no gambler. Anyway, I think we've discussed here before: that odds-makers don't really know about tennis...they know about betting odds, so I never pay that much attention. Folks like us who follow tennis have a better sense of the nuances of what goes on with various players. I put more faith in that.

Wow, Djokovic is $1.80 here in the Australian markets. That's amazingly low, especially considering Nadal's dominance over the years.

Quick reaction after the draw came out:

Rafa's weakened further and Roger and Kei improved significantly

Here are the odds after people had time to digest the draw.

Novak Djokovic 10/11
Rafael Nadal 9/2
Andy Murray 10
Roger Federer 12
Kei Nishikori 13

Fed has improved considerably and jumped ahead of Kei also. Andy has come down considerably while still managing to stay ahead of Fed. Rafa cam down also.

Seems about right to me. I'd probably put Roger's chances ahead of Murray's as the latter has the tougher QF and the way tougher SF before he'd even reach the finals.

I've just read the article, is Tignor serious?
At this point I think he is joking. Monfils beats Berdych in the semis? Really? And judging by their current form, no way in hell can Ferrer beat Murray.

If Monfils makes the finals, God help us all . I like Gael but I just trust him when it comes down to the final weekend. I truly never felt it was that important to him to be triumph.

In the event that Djokovic and Monfils play the final, Monfils won't beat him, I can guarantee that. And I don't even like the guy. To let such an opportunity slip because of a clown? No chance.

In the old days, this kind of result would be routine! We had many a bad final due to upsets; Lendl vs Mecir in '86 USO after Becker upset in semi; not to mention Sampras playing all kinds of also-rans like Philippousis & Pioline! :eyepop :popcorn
