But you have understood what I said, isn't? :snicker

I need to catch Nadalasuckupaslobbertosis to understand. Luckily, I am immune.

3 pages about Halle for 8 about Queens. It seems that this tournament has more views and interest than the other one....why? :D

We know, we know how much you like him :hug :D
I think from tomorrow I'm going to have a fun tennis week ;)

Could you just stop being an embarrassing troll? Really? TsarMatt only drops in during the antipodean day. He's a lovely filmmaker. He likes Aussie tennis players. He doesn't much give a toss about Rafa one way or the other.

Does he deserve your irritating gif, even though he's a gif man, himself? I think not.

PS: Not to mention the other cringe-worthy posts since I wrote this. Seriously. You must stop embarrassing yourself and the rest of us. Please stick to what you know. Which is...well, I'm sure there must be something.

Rafa gets the most extreme reactions from tennis fans, and this site is no different. We've seen it all, Puppet, you're just another. But you're close to hysteria most of the time. Try some chamomile tea, it's calming. Rafa wasn't so bad as you describe, actually, and Dolgo was quite exceptional...

Agreed, Rafa has looked good all week. Even the forehand is less bad than people make it out to be. When he is in proper position to hit it right, he really hits it pretty darn well. It's just that he isn't quite as sharp with the feet as he used to be so has a tendency to take something off it.

Serve has been mostly excellent as well, a little less good today but then I think he'll live with that.

I rarely disagree with you but I think he's clearly taking some racket head speed off when going down the line, which could be a confidence related issue coupled with the movement thing that you mentioned, which at this point is obviously true.

Its just that he did hit several bombs in that match, and in Stuttgart and so yea I think its a question of a willfull decision rather than a physical impossibility.

Contrast that with say Federer, who I actually don't think is even physically capable of generating the same racquet head speed that he used too.

One thing he has in common with Federer's declining forehand is that Rafa is snapping at chances and missing them because he's too hasty. I'd say this is more a confidence issue than anything but it could become chronic if he doesn't get it working soon. It's like the famous backhand he missed against Nole in Oz: just too eager and hurried to get the job done, he doesn't take enough care over how he's doing it...

Aww, thanks Moxie. :hug

And yes, I like Rafa (and Djokovic and Federer and Murray), but I'm not an ardent fan of theirs. Give me Hewitt, B-Nard or the Special K's any day of the week.

What? I don't understand your post so well. I don't think I said something inappropriate, you should point out to someone else instead to call me a troll.
I don't embarrasing myself at all, neither the rest of you but after to read now what you say, enough is enough, don't worry, I'm not going to bother you anymore. Have a good time

If you don't like the new atp website, the spanish version uses the old interface. You can use a translation addon in your browser (if it doesn't come with one). If not, you're prob already familiar enough with the layout you can intuit your way around even without a translation/understanding Spanish

I was not offended by your post at all mate. I just loved how Moxie called me a 'lovely filmmaker'. :snicker

But yeah, as kskate2 said, let's get back to discussing this event! Awesome draw for an ATP 500, IMO. Hope to see Wawrinka snatch the title, but I don't think he will.

I don't think he will either Matt. If I had to put $$ on it, I'd give a nod to Muzz first and possibly Dimi 2nd.

Dimi? As in Dimitrov? As in Mr. Sugarpova? What got you so high on Grigor kskate2? Grass? ;)

I think with Stan, he broke through so decisively at RG that now it's like, what can he do on grass? Can he catch fire there too? He had a good Wimbo last year, went down a little feebly to federer after looking good for a two set lead, but he has a good chance here. I'd certainly favour him over Grigor...

He seemed reluctant to go down the line period.

Weird because he's moving well, serving patchy but better than recently, returning surprisingly good, and is actually volleying really well. He looks more comfortable on grass than I expected, and even the backhand is looking good. The forehand is killing him though, and ultimately, he always lives and dies by that shot.

Without taking anything away from Dolgo who served really well overall, I don't think Nadal returned surprisingly well - I thought (on second serve) he was really predictable. On the deuce court Dolgo was going out wide all day waiting for the cross court bunt and finishing with a forehand down the line. Nadal hardly changed things up at all. In fact, in his presser he said he had real problems reading Dolgo's serve... Not sure why it was such a problem because half the crowd knew where the Dolgo was serving on any key point after 30 minutes.

I'm interested to see how he does here too. Last year was the best he's played on grass by far so maybe he can build on it. Overall I think his game is more suited to slower courts but at the same time his game is so huge that he figures to be dangerous at the very least on grass. Add that to the fact that Stan has clearly shown that he can hold up in the biggest moments against the best players and he is definitely a threat anywhere at this point.
