Looks like Andy might go home too.

That is a lot of upsets in this tourney. Rafa, Stan, Grigor, Milos and Andy (?)

Andy won the second set in TB. At least is not going away meekly. I am rooting for Muller though.

Andy escapes the upset bug. Gets it done in 3. Waiting for winner of Isner/Troiki

I just don't understand as to how a counterpuncher like Simon could win over an attacking player with a big serve and that too on grass. I did not see the match. Hope, it is due to the fact that Milos is still rusty coming after a long break.

Simon kinda just plugged away. Milos looked comfy until he dropped serve in the second, he was actually playing alright. After this, all his one-dimensionality worked against him. Simon dragged him down to his level, basically, but he did it the right way, with skill and cunning and perfect timing on the breaks...

Murray wins the first three games after they started again today to take the first set 6-3. He fell a break down but got it back and they are now in a tiebreak.

Lucky the 1st round of Wimbledon won't be until next week; normally he might have to play Tues. or Wed.! I wonder would they have done something to accommodate Murray being a Native SON? That 3 all, 1st set continuation is probably a worse scenario than Nole at the FO who had a major final the next day instead of having a day off like Stan! Nothing could have been more insane though 31 years ago in '84 at the Italian Open! Manuella Meleeva was made to finish a 1/4, win her semi, then rest up before taking Chris Evert out in the final, all in one day! I still SMH over that one! If she had lost, all kinds of uproar would have been heard giving an easy victory on clay over this young whipper-snapper from Bulgaria! The rest is history and she will forever be remembered for that noteworthy accomplishment! :clap  :dodgy:

I think from tomorrow I'm going to have a fun tennis week ;)

Could you just stop being an embarrassing troll? Really? TsarMatt only drops in during the antipodean day. He's a lovely filmmaker. He likes Aussie tennis players. He doesn't much give a toss about Rafa one way or the other.

Does he deserve your irritating gif, even though he's a gif man, himself? I think not.

PS: Not to mention the other cringe-worthy posts since I wrote this. Seriously. You must stop embarrassing yourself and the rest of us. Please stick to what you know. Which is...well, I'm sure there must be something.

Thrilled for Andy. It was quite the heavy-lifting he did today, and not just of that big trophy. Personally, I think he'll be the man to beat in Wimbledon.

Never noticed this before but I was taking a look at the list of past Queen's winners on Wikipedia and saw a Swastika.

What's your point? Hitler and the Nazi's were in power during Von Cramm's day in Germany! I seem to remember Bud Collins mentioning Hitler calling VC just before he was to play one of his Wimbledon finals against Perry! He was a good, solid player who probably would have been more successful if not for off-court issues! :puzzled :nono  :cover

Do I have to make a point? Just thought it was a shame to see that thing next to Von Cramm's name. He was a great player back in the day. But anyway, just never saw a Swastika next to a tennis player's name on Wiki before. If that's not enough for you, then you're on your own.

I was big on history back in school; with how retched it's been, I'll live with that little "slight" compared to the totality of what actually happened to live people during that period! Thanks so much for asking! :cover :nono :dodgy:
