The more I understand tennis, the more I appteciate Vika's game. She plays the sport incredibly well, using point construction, being aggressive at the right times, fighting, keeping errors low, etc.

When was the last time she met Venus?

Venus has a h2h 4-0 over Vika,Vika has never taken a set off Venus.They last met Stanford R16 2014.

That's because everything that Vika does, Venus does it as well, just a little bit better. I've seen all 4 matches and recently in the last 2 years, Vika was able to keep it close, but still surrendered the set at 5 games or a TB.

Tomorrow's match will be close. I would even give Vika the slight edge because Venus has to be tired of all these 3-set matches and frankly she's been a bit sub-par this week. Vika's downfall in this match-up is the 2nd serve. No one punishes weak serves like Venus and Victoria's is still a problem.

I have to agree with Kskate 2,Venus has been below par in this tournament.I also believe she will have to have her serve at 'pin point accuracy' in the s/final,Victoria is one of the best returners in the women's game at present.Victoria's 2nd serve still needs improvement,Venus will return it in style.I am predicting a close 3 set match....I feel Azarenka can get her first win over Venus.

In the other match up.....CSN v Safarova

Lucie was impressive in her win against Petkovic,Lucie has been playing well of late, though I was disappointed in her form at the Australian Open,CSN had a easy in the end over Kvitova who just played woeful tennis especially in the 2nd set, when she was handed a bagel.Kvitova was missing routine shots.Safarova to win.

Vika is being over the top with the celebrations.....not necessary to be honest especially against Venus who is always respectful..

Vika breaks again and will serve for the 2nd set 5-2

This will be the first time ever Vika has won a set off Venus
