Roger has the break, will serve for the first. Did not really do a whole lot to get the break though...

Who do you prefer watching at the moment? Raonic or Federer? Was curious as they are playing at the same time at the moment.

Good win for Roger. Now we'll see what he can do with JMDP -- an interesting match considering they played less than a week ago.

At least Roger is finally starting to take care of the lesser players again. Now let's see if he can take out a good player. It's long overdue to show he can still play at a decent level.

Brother, if Roger is playing tag with the twins and there is a grand slam final, I still watch Roger...:wow:

Seriously though, Milos has a lot of years ahead of him. I cannot afford to miss a Federer game at the moment.:s

What about the speed of this surface? Doesn't seem lightning quick, to me. I thought shanghai and Beijing looked quicker...

Darth, I think you seriously underestimate Roger at this point. It doesn't matter now how bad his season was. Since Shanghai his entire focus, body language and game improved dramatically in my eyes. I can't recall the last time I've seen him this hungry, sharp and focused and the matches do prove it. He was clearly rusty after a long break in Shanghai, yet he took a strong version of Monfils into a 3rd set who then went on to take a set off Novak in the next round. In Basel I was impressed with his backhand, quick footwork and movement vs. Dimi and Pospisil. He went toe to toe with an in-form Delpo who is currently, like it or not, easily the 2nd best Indoor player in the game. You might dismiss him as a 2nd tier playe but when he's on fire on a quick court it's quite an achievement to push him to the limit.

Fed's matches with Anderson and Kohls here just serve as further proof. It's not just his game that is clicking and coming together, he's clearly going for a different approach too, taking a few steps back and playing with more patience rather than being desperate to pull the trigger too early like he did all summer. This is not Kamikaze-Fed anymore. Maybe it's just me but I truly believe that his back recovered and that we are currently watching a healthy, hungry and really sharp Roger out there. He'll be an unleashed beast and very tough to beat in London. In fact don't be shocked if he goes on to win the title. I know that you are the world's biggest pessimist when it comes to Fed but you should abandon it just for once and you might witness a perfect storm next week...

We will see buddy, but this "strong" Monfils you're talking about is a mythical beast. And sorry, but just pushing DP on Roger's home court isn't enough to get my d*** hard. It'd be pessimism if he was playing well...remember how everyone went off the wall crazy after a good 1.5 sets vs. Rafa in Cincy. Surely he was going to play great at the USO right? Let's see if he builds on Basel, which certainly was a big improvement over his form the few months before it.

I wouldn't count him out from making a run at London but I think a lot is dependent on his group and that's the first year we can say that.

Huge loss for Raonic. One of the few top 10 players he has a winning record over, is Berdych. Even indoors, things not going according to plan for the future of serving.

Nishikori peaked way back in 2011, when he bagelled Djokovic in the 3rd set of Basel.

LOL@Paris, this crowd is investing an awful lot of emotion into JJ. He better not let them down :D

Great set of tennis. Excellent job by Rafa to get that one.

Good retort there by JJ on Rafa's serve. I like the guys spite and animalism. He can be quite competitive, eh?

HAHAHAHAHA......JJ loves to showboat the guns but can't handle a ball hit straight at him at the net. Too much danger :/

Rafa still a bit loose. Don't want this guy to get cocky again. Keep him down!

What's the time allowance between a first and second serve?
