Honestly, I think for the Government to save face they would have to cancel his visa and double down on anyone visiting. The judge opened up the case for appeals for anyone with similar exemption/visa issues to now come forward.
What needed to be said....no unvaccinated players and no exemptions given for the AO 2022....there is no loop holes.

So wait a minute in his interview he cited testing positive in June of 2020 and December 16, 2021. How if the “medical exemption” is for testing positive within the past 6 months did he get the exemption if the deadline was December 10th?

It did not even get to that point,Judge Kelly had decided to given him a pass due to a procedural term and Border Force was deemed to be wrong.

one of many mistakes that were made on both sides
imo it’s also a mistake to not treat vaccinated and recovered persons equally

I understand that, but it makes his exemption claim a fraud.
Personally I felt that the governments case should have been heard in total....though there were a lot of disruptions,it was probably over in the Judges chambers, with both parties aggreeing. to the verdict. Our immigration minister does have the power to re-cancel his visa and deport him

Australian Government sources say Djokovic won case on 'procedural fairness basis"
However they dont believe he has valid vax exemption and considering re-cancelling visa on that basis
ATAG's Allen Cheng prior infection never been valid O/S travel exemption.

That’s not a mistake that is called lying on your paperwork.
It would be a lie if he claims to have tested positive before the 16th, but as far as I know he didn’t
Why TA accepted the 16th is not Novaks fault, and surely not a lie
maybe they allow some leeway in this regard I don’t know
I don’t see any lies , except rumours he faked the test

Immigration Alex Hawke will not make a decision on whether to cancel Djokovic's visa tonight. He had four hours to make a decision if they wanted to keep him in detention, but can still exercise personal power to cancel his visa tomorrow.

The big issues with his positive result is its validity, in the sense of where he got it from, and also why he was moving around in public the days after.

Where he got it from might be important, given that only tests done by state health services are approved for travel in most places. A private test isn’t.

But his movements after resting positive probably can’t affect him in this case, because they’re not proof that he wasn’t positive, you know? That’s an issue for Serbia or Monte Carlo, or wherever he was, breaking their covid laws. It maybe held against him in a tiebreaker though, that he wasn’t taking catching the virus seriously, and he was a potential super spreader.

And of course there’s the timeline issues, given that he had to declare before the tenth, and all the murky background noise relating to who said what, and what was promised him.

It feels like this case hasn’t even been heard yet…

Yeah but before there is no proof you can’t call it a lie imo

Novak Djokovic’s full interview during his detention at Melbourne Airport is well worth a read if you’d like a full understanding of the border policy Australia is running during the covid era. https://fedcourt.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/95053/Parties-jointly-agreed-Transcript-of-Interviews-conducted-by-the-ABF.pdf
