Novak Djokovic’s full interview during his detention at Melbourne Airport is well worth a read if you’d like a full understanding of the border policy Australia is running during the covid era. https://fedcourt.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/95053/Parties-jointly-agreed-Transcript-of-Interviews-conducted-by-the-ABF.pdf

You will find that the judge also has limits and if there’s good reason to detain Djokovic, or question him further on his papers, that this is what immigration services do…
They had a chance to interrogate him to their heart's content, they didn't use it. Now everyone from government authorities can hang things on a cat tail.

Yeah but before there is no proof you can’t call it a lie imo
I think you can call it a lie. The deadline was December 10th for filing for exemption. Per his own admission in his interview, he doesn’t have a positive Covid-19 test result to show within the past 6 months before December 10th.

Hey they can still cancel his visa btw.Immigration Minsiter Alex Hawke will make a decision tomorrow to cancel
Do you think that this is not nonsense, farce, what ever silly? For No1e and for us, his fans, all that means nothing anymore. The victory is ours. Huge.

That is your opinion.Though if it was a fav player of mine I would not see it that way.Government here do not believe he has a valid vax exemption..lets see what the Immigration Minister finally decides

They don’t seem to have interrogated him at all during last nights procedure. You maybe surprised to know that from now on it’s up to the Australians what happens, and not up to Novak. His bona fides don’t seem to have been examined yet.

There’s still the issue of their domestic covid policy being seen to apply equally to visitors as well as to citizens and residents…

According to Serbian Health law once tested positive you have to isolate for 14 days? why was Novak out and about after 2 days when tested positive?

i don’t know but that no proof for a fake test

maybe he irresponsibly didn’t care?
when he got his test results exactly?

but no matter how someone turn it, he looks very bad at this point that’s for sure

It is too late now to lament the missed opportunities. The visa was annulled for one reason, now they have no right to ask for others. Now they can only use the right of power, I think.

Our Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has just said he is currently considering the Djokovic matter and the process remains ongoing.

Our Immigration Minister has 'the right of power' to re-cancel Novak's visa.

I think you are wrong. Read my answer to Margaret, a little above.

Yes, that's what I wrote. That's all has left to him and the government. In my opinion.
Okay I misunderstood you.I am not saying it will come to that, re-cancelling his visa, though he does have the power to re-cancel

Yes, you said you think that, but you don’t know it.

I think he’ll be allowed to enter, they seem to be no longer up for the fight, but don’t celebrate too soon, you could be like that posh Wodger fan at Wimbledon who stuck her finger up to remind the whole world, “yoo hoo! Yoo hoo! One more point and the deliciously fragrant Wodger wins again!” :lulz1:

Yes, you said you think that, but you don’t know it.
I don't know exactly Australian law, but I know positive international law. Everything (in legal science), however, starts from Roman law and is being upgraded.
