As I have already posted the other person being investigated by Border Force is an 'official" that also was confirmed by our Home Affair's Minister Karen Andrews a few days ago.

Does “official” mean chair umpire, line judge, or something along those lines?

I would imagine, though when the investigation is complete I am certain it will become clearer.,if the 'official''s documentation is not valid.

I’d say so, or anyone working in the background in an official capacity, even representatives of the players organisations, and more, might be included…

Well, they may change it if things don’t improve, but they don’t have too much time before it has to be a firm decision.
The world might look a lot different in five months, I’d say the FO will make a decision soon, but they could change that if the outlook continues to be sunny…

The Czech player shouldn’t be deported. The border officer let her in. She has been in Australia long enough not to be a risk going forward. Two wrongs don’t make a right in this case.

Yes she did play a warm up tournament in Melbourne....I have no idea how she cleared border control,an error on their part I guess,Karen Andrews our Home Affairs Minister said Border Force officials are still investigating.
Maybe she had the correct visa, and so they didn't look closely at the exemption. It really may be as simple as the visa error that got Djokovic in trouble. Who knows. But I think a "set-up" (as britbox and tennisville both suggested) seems too elaborate to me. A series of cock-ups seems more likely, to me.

Hey his visa has been cancelled he is lucky he is still in the country....honestly.Can't have one rule for him and another rule for a person who cannot afford to take the case to court.
Next you will be saying Free Poor Novak!
Moi? Unlikely! :lulz1: But he's already getting special treatment, in that his case will be heard in 4 days, not 8 years, like some poor sod in that hotel.

Human error can play a part in this.,maybe someone did not look closely at the 'exemption' it does happen.I am certain it has happened in other airports through out the world.
Set Up is too far fetched? honestly.....

TBH, I don't think it would be terrible if he were allowed to wait with his team. It's not like he's going to sneak away and blend in with the population. He's only there to play the Australian Open, and they'd notice if he did.
Moxie, Are you saying you would give Novak the benefit of the doubt? SMH2..Remember Rafa's words.. Novak knew the rules previously

All I said was it wouldn't hurt anyone if he stayed with his team. I went soft for a minute. The benefit of the doubt I'm NOT giving him is that there is anything in his medical exemption that should qualify him to play unvaccinated. That I seriously doubt. No matter what his lawyers and doctors cook up by Monday.

Here is the interview by the Karen Andrews, regarding Djokovic. She clearly mentions that the visa was not the issue (at the 2:05 mark) but the part regarding the exemption.

I think it's strange that with the same visa and document for exemption, 2 other people were able to cross the border and be in Australia.

I think its a political setup mainly because there are just way too many mistakes that are happening.

1. Djokovic and as of right now 2 other people were mistakenly granted a visa by the federal government without meeting the requirements
2. The 2 other people were mistakenly cleared by the border force coming under the federal government
3. The federal government approval rating is really poor before this incident

Due to these 5 mistakes, the political standing of the government has improved as a lot of Australians support his decision.

Either you can believe the mistakes were made and it was just a coincidence that fixing them improved his rating or you canbelieve it was a set up to boost his party before the elections in May 2022

I just have seen way too many political parties pull stunts like this close to the election to believe its a coincidence

I said from the start there is a lot of 'grey' wih him having COVID in the last six months and applying for an exemption?
I mean six months ago he was travelling around and competing in tournaments? Come On Now? also that is not a valid reason for a medical exemption here..

I just listened, Tented's video just mentioned he did not meet the entry requirements. It did not say anything about the visa

The video I posted clearly mentions that the visa was not an issue if you listen at 2:04

From the Age,

Craig Tiley asked Australia's top vaccination body if players (like Djokovic) w prior infection would be exempt and was told 'NO" twice in November.
